I have built 9 bikes with frames from Light Carbon and everything has been flawless. This is the first bike I build with a frame from another manufacturer and I am disappointed.

The flex issue may not have been a problem for me and the way I ride, but it does make me feel less happy with frame anyway. Now I have finally put the bike together and yes, it rides nice but makes o lots of squeaking noise. I think it come from the suspension so yesterday I took the top-link of to put more grease. I was surprised to se how bad the bearings are fitted and on one side there is a sealing, on the other side no sealing but a old washer :-o

I think I will take the frame apart totally, and replace all bearing with good bearing with sealing, and a lot of grease. And hopefully I will end up with a nice working and quiet bike.

My next build will be from a frame manufacturer I trust, Light Carbon. I have ordered the new LCFS918.

Finished my AM831 last week and took it for a first ride yesterday. There is some fixing left to do, some squeaking sounds to identify. But the bikes feels very, very nice to ride on technical trails.

Building another LCFS947, this one in size M. But cassettes and rear derailleurs are impossible to buy for the moment. (Shimano SLX) So this is as far as I get right now.

Not sure if I have shown my new LCFS958. Sold the old one, size L and built a new in size XL. (im 183 cm) The goal was to get even more reach. I loved my old bike and the new one is also great.

I have built them mainly for myself and my family.

I first built a LCFS958 size L for myself and a LCFS911 size S for my wife. However the LCFS911 felt a bit small for her so I built a new one, size M for her and I gave the size S to my son.

My sun is growing so I upgraded my wife with a LCFS713  and we gave the LCFS911 size M to my son, and sold the size S.

Last year a built a LCFS947 size L for myself. I really liked the bike and I like the long reach That why I sold it and built a new LCFS958, in size XL.

The LCFS 917 i just built for fun and I never tried it, I just sold it.

The AM831 will be exciting to ride. I have decided that I will keep 2 bikes for myself and sell 1. This will be a hard choice to make because I really love both the LCFS958 and the LCFS947, can the AM831 be better than any of them......

How many different chiner frames have you built??

So far eight. 2*LCFS911, 2*LCFS958, 1*LCFS917, 1*LCFS713, 1*LCFS947 and soon finished with my AM831 :-)

Now I have ridden my new descending and I am starting to get a feel for how it rides. My favorite bike the last year has been the LCFS947. A stable bike descending, great on technical climbs.

I think that I have a new favorite though. My new LCFS958 in size XL with 150 mm fork replaced my old LCFS958 in size L with 140 mm fork. The longer reach and with the new fork, slacker angle makes a bike that feels as stable as the LCFS947, it climbs as well  but the response pedaling is better. When I compare my rides on my Garmin I can see that I am about 1 km/h faster on the total ride on my new LCFS958 than on the LCFS947.

I will continue swithing between the bikes and see if my new favorite remains the same.

And I am almost finished with my AM831..........

Replaced the bolts with new bearings today. I'm glad you posted the instructions again so that I only fastened it "finger tight".

No i can finish my built of the bike and see how it rides. :-)

Thanks JJJ for the fix.

I have received my enduro bearings. The fit perfectly on the new bolts but the holes in the frame are to small. I will have to find out a good way to make them bigger.

By the way. What is the screw inside the new bolts for? The original does not have this.

Received the new bolts yesterday, wery well made. I am still waiting for the bearings I ordered. I haven't read everything regarding the flex problem so I could use some help. Is this where the new bearing and bolt should be used?

Thanks. I ordered the frame painted. I have painted one frame and the result looked good but it was so sensitive.

So after that I have ordered my frames painted.
