I'm building it as a 29:er with 165 mm cranks.

ZTTO ceramic bearing installed, Magura MT5 rear brakes installed and wires for dropper and derailleur installed. Now its the easy parts left to do.

Would you mind to share with us what you used for the chainstay protector?  looks like a sticky back type.  Thanks.

The chainstay protector is for a Nukeproof Mega 29.

29er / Light Carbon LCFS713 build.
« on: October 12, 2021, 01:49:22 AM »
I'm addicted to building bikes. (I love riding them to...) And my first build was the Light Carbon LCFS958. Its a great bike and the quality and fit of the frame is perfect. So I stuck with Light Carbon frames and after that I have built two LCFS911, one LCFS917, one LCFS947 and now I am busy building my first LCFS713.
I'm building the LCFS713 in size M so its not for me. It fits my wife, or i might sell it. Its just the creative you of building and curiosity of the frame that makes we want to build another LCFS bike.

Things are slowly progressing. Tested the dropper än it fits perfect, no problems there.

I have the highest trust in Light Carbon  (I have built 5 LC bikes) and the LC frame gives me a little more confidence. But I look forward to build the AM831. I can tell you more after I have built the bike.

I'm going to use a threaded/press-fit, ceramic bearing from Zitto. I haven't tried these before so I can only hope the quality is ok.

The LCFS947 is a fantastic bike.  It climbs really well, especially on technical climbs, and its really stable on descends. The short insert for dropperpost is a "problem", bit you can use a 150 mm dropper, if you choose the right one. And its not a clone, its a original design by Light Carbon, and a good one.

Found a superdeal on a rear shock. Is this a good working choice?

Haha, Stefan can post a build pic in nearly every thread. Hope you ordered an AM831 so we can see that build.

Well, I just could not resist it, so I ordered a AM831 :-)

Found a more famous brand using the LCFS911 frame. The geometry is 100 the same, and all details as well from what i can see.
