I'm starting to plan ahead and see what sub-1199g wheels are available to buy in the next few months.

On the low end I found sub 1150g 50mm depth, 24mm IW / 30mm EX wheels for under $500 USD:

I'm a bit partial to anything in the 40-50mm depth range, but are still lightweight enough for climbing and fast pace on the flats. I found a couple in-between the $400-1500 USD price mark, but I'm open to other options. Any recommendations and/or opinions would be great. Thanks!

Got my new wheelset yesterday.
55mm height, TAR55WS, so 25mm internally. Ordered it with SR248 hub, Pillar 1420 spokes.

Wheels seem to be true, weight is 1370g, 30g lighter than expected. Got it without spoke holes, as i didn't state clearly I wanted it with, so my mistake, but not that big of a deal to me, unfortunately no drainage hole, should have stated this more clearly as well.
At first glance I thought I was nuts, but the spokes seemed to be wider than the Pillar1420 on my other wheelset, measured it, well yeah 2.2mm wide not 2.0mm wide, gave Serenade a short message, they explained they had no Pillar1420 in the correct length and "upgraded" my wheelset to Sapim CX Ray. I don't complain about that

Unfortunately I need to spacer the brake disc at bit out, in comparison to my other wheelset and 0,4mm don't seem to be enough compared to the Goldix R180SL, so I've got to wait for the spacers.

Totally unrelated, on the front everything matched with my other wheelsets, but holy F why can't shimano build discs that don't need to be trued straight out of the box. Paying 40-60€ for a piece of aluminium and steel, just so I need to true it...

they divided the pricing into 3 groups:

• 869$ - black matte with or without LC logo,
• 1069$ - LC Standard designs 
• 1169$ - Client's own customized design

Should be compatible, at least the freehub ratchets are. Mine broke and I replaced it with one for DT from AliX

so it's $300 for no logo, and also $300 for a logo, doesn't that mean they just raised the price $300? Am I missing something? I feel like they made the explanation way more complicated than it needed to be. It's just +300 USD and you have to really "insist on a matte or carbon raw, unbranded frame" if that is what you want.

Might not be worth the cost since it's hard to get in small quantities and ends up being expensive, but I think the right stuff is Hysol 9359. You also might find it labeled as the Loctite brand. This is designed for aluminum + carbon. I *think* E60K should be better than any hardware store epoxy, but without knowing the gaps between the bonding surfaces my big reservation is the lack of glass beads and it being too thin to fill said gaps. But it's like 1/6th the cost of the Hysol product, so i get it for a frame like this one.

Edit: Not endorsing this repair in terms of long-term efficacy or safety, just stating how I would personally do it if it were my bike and I wanted to fix it.

I know this might not be the solution that holds forever, but I think giving it a shot for 20€ instead of professional repair for 280€ might be worth the try. I also fear E60K might be to thin, but on the other hand, I need something that creeps into the gap, where I think UHU 2K Epoxy, which you get in the hardware store might be to thick. And for superglue (cynacrylate) I'm not sure about its longevity.

I was confirmed the additional $300.. and with that the frameset alone costs $1169 without shipping and fees... So i'm out...

Despite everyone going for sub 1kg wheelset with carbon spokes, I need help finding a wheelset with these specs:

- 65 mm profile (60mm also acceptable)
- 24/28 spokes (24/24 if it is really impossible to find 24/28)
- 23 to 24 mm internal width (no 25mm and above)
- CX Ray spokes (no carbon spokes)

The closest I can get, apparently, is a set from XMCS with 65mm rims, 24mm IW, 24/24 cx ray.

Ask at Serenande, Eiter TRS or TAR rims, with CX ray should work
