Did an olympic triathlon last weekend. Managed to average over 40km/h on this frame  ;D Stoked to see how it will perform in the longer races next year

Hi mattgolt,
Can you share some pictures of your copilot BTA setup?

Yo yo yo, 3d printable rear bottle holder is finished! It replaces the one that comes with the frame, but elevates the bottle higher and mounts it horizontal. I suggest using a bottle mount adapter for fine tuning the fore/aft of the bottle, but it could be mounted directly. (Depending on the bottle cage, you might touch the bottle though)

It is compliant with the current ironman/world triathlon rules about the mount for the rear hydration having to fit in a 30x30cm box.

The 3D printable rear bottle holder is amazing, but unfortunately I’m a bit short (5ft6), so I can’t leave enough space for two bolt holes on the seatpost.

Does anyone have a solution for a BTA setup with a Garmin mount on the stock Velobuild handlebars?

Hi everyone,

I’m considering upgrading my TT bike wheelset for Triathlon (mainly Ironman 70.3). The setup I have in mind is:
   •   Front: 3-spoke carbon
   •   Rear: Full disc wheel

I’m aiming for better aerodynamics, but I’m unsure about real-world performance.

Looking for advice on:
   1.   How does this combo perform in crosswinds and technical courses?
   2.   Is a 3-spoke front a good idea, or would a deep-section rim be safer/more practical?
   3.   Any recommendations for AliExpress brands/shops if I go this route?

Thanks in advance for any input or personal experiences!

@Lotnik

I saw that they were selling that groupset on Tmall / Taobao.

Careful with the passquest chainrings. They make specific ones for the SRAM flattop chains. I found out the hard way and had to buy a new one :D It's absolutely gorgeous though and works flawlessly.

I see on website "Chain compatibility: AXS12 speed  chain"

I’m planning to build the VB-023 bike with the following components. I’m not a bike mechanic, so please help me check if these parts are compatible:
   •   PASS QUEST X110 BCD (4-bolt AERO) AXS Round Narrow Wide Chainring

   •   Magene PES P515
   •   SRAM Force D2 AXS 12-Speed
   •   Force XG-1270 Cassette 10-36T
   •   SRAM Flattop chain

Does anyone on here know what the downtube storage pictured on the velobuild website would be? I asked on whatsapp and they could only say that the customer installed it. I'm hoping to do something similar and would like to know if I need bottle cage rivets installed before ordering.

Your bike look nice, wish that i can buy that frameset in Vietnam, Ican has agent in Asia which is Quick and Sherry refuse to sale it...
Quick sale the frameset for 16800 CNY    ~ 2300 USD @@

Chào anh,
You can ask a third party to purchase it in China and ship it from China to Vietnam.

My town’s local bike shop has a bike with a Magene QED groupset.

The ICan frame won't be out till Feb next year. You can pre-order, I was looking at it in October/November.
I ordered the VB-TT-023 frame (as I couldn't wait that long), still putting it together. But I must say I am impressed with the build quality so far.

The inside of the carbon is very clean. No tell tail signs of bad carbon layup. The brakes threaded through nicely. A little bit of pain with the front one, but I didn't use the tools to do it, just wiggled the cables through. The install of the T47 BB was nice an crisp, I haven't put the crank on yet. The alignment seems spot on, based on the resistance I was felling putting things in place. The threading on the front and rear wheels aligns nicely.

Mine is a matt black frame and the paint seems nice, the over spray is a non-issue on this frame.

Only issue so far is the cockpit would be difficult to get 4 cables though, not impossible just careful routing. I can post video's and pictures in the next few weeks. Other thing is lack of torque setting instructions is a concern for me but that is just me being a little OCD.

This is also my first Chinner Carbon frame so take all of above with a grain of salt.

I am also considering buying this frame and hope you will upload pictures of your bike soon.
I’m torn between the matte black and glossy black options.
