SPCycle G028 / Conti Dubnital Race 29×2.2″

There is a lot of useful information in this forum, thank you all. I'll share photos of one of our first builds. The reviews are extremely positive if anyone thinks.

What size is it, and how tall are you?

This frame is already discussed in a thread about the new Mondince 57mm tire clearance frame. They are basically the same.

https://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,7193.45.html#msg109485

That's why I wrote that one of these frames is probably the same as Mondince.

Hey guys,

Just saw on TanTan's Instagram that they've teased two new frames with 57mm tire clearance.

Frame 1 - https://www.instagram.com/tantanfactory_bike_frame/p/DYl3k9xDrl4/ - propably the same as FM346

Frame 2 - https://www.instagram.com/tantanfactory_bike_frame/p/DYlf9z_jUo-/

I've already messaged them asking for the geometry charts, but they are keeping it quiet for now and won't share any info yet.

Just use ACR headset

Has anyone ran narrower road tires on their GR201 for road rides? I have a Domane for road riding but it feels so sluggish (the engine accepts most of the blame here) and the GR201 feels way more lively even with big tires so I was thinking of picking up a narrower set of wheels and running 28c/30c tires for an occasional fast road ride. I'm currently running 9VELO GV2.0 wheels with 48c Tufo Thunderos.

What color is that? It looks good.

This new frame isn't on the website yet. It's not on Ali either.

Does anyone here use a frame bag with a size 52 frame? I'm looking for something that fits perfectly—no gaps or wasted space

Official specs of both new gravel handlebars.

When will the handlebars be available?

Also, how does shipping cost? I sent you a DM on Instagram regarding the frame and shipping to Poland.

Is the frame a monocoque? And will there be a raw/naked finish option?

I agree with the guys above: $1600 plus $150-200 for shipping is steep. At that price point, you could actually snag a Giant Revolt Advanced, part it out if you only need the frameset, and claw back some of the cost.

We're finetuning a few very small things, so there won't be any real geo changes.

I get everyone is trying to exercise some influence on geo snd features, but you'll simply have to wait a week or so and you'll get the bike XMCS wanted to design, taking into account many different perspectives. Just as an example, another guy asked to make sure the bike was long and low because 'otherwise it wouldn't be a success'.

We get bombed with opinions, and they are often 180 degrees apart.

As for the 3t, it has a STR of 1.53 in size L (eTT of 552) which is on the very extreme end for aero gravel bikes. The STR range for these sizes are from 1.40 (Astr, Able, Noah) to about 1.48 (ExAero, Rave). In the comparable size the xmcs will just be a bit below the average.

I'll shut my mouth here and will ask you all to simply wait a little bit longer and then decide if this is the bike for you or not.

Does the S/M feel any more relaxed, or is it just as aggressive as the S?

Short update: there are still some last details that need to be validated for the geo. Peter was very kind to make some time for this during CNY, but his technical team also needs to have a look at it, which they can do after CNY.

I know you guys are eager to get your hands on the geo and all the details, but we want to be 100% sure on what we put out in the public. You can only make a first impression once.

Everyone's dreaming of their perfect build, myself included. I'm looking for 57mm tire clearance but without the back-breaking geo on a size S – my current GR 201 is sitting at a 1.37 ratio and it's pretty rough. Progressive geometry is exactly what I need. Can't wait to see the final look of your frame!"

57mm official clearance for the front.

pls 57mm rear too

It'd be sweet to get frame with enough space to toss in some 2.2/2.25s and not've to worry about clearance.

The new Raccoon is finally out!

53-55mm tires should fit no problem, apparently even 60mm is doable. Curious if it's a catalogue frame or something custom-made.

As for Tavelo—that frame looks just like the new Wilier Rave. That one is rated for 52mm, but you can easily fit 2.2" tires in there.
