I have been having problems with brake rub on the front brake. The brake is perfectly aligned at lower tensions on the lower brake caliper bolt, but when increased to 4-5 Nm, it would throw off the alignment and the brake would rub. I could not fix it myself. I finally brought it to my local bike shop and they tried everything, including facing the brake mounts. They are pretty sure that an imperfection in the fork, near the thru axle insert, is causing the problem.

The good news is that Jack was very quick to reply and offered to cover the fork under warranty, even though he has never heard such an issue with their forks (which is reassuring since it does not seem to be a generalized issue).

I am just waiting for them to paint it and ship it over. I am only covering the shipping cost. It's a win in my books!

I am not familiar with this headset system either. It seems that the headset cap moves when you steer, rotating with the direction of steering. It also seems that any spacers above also rotate. Is this how a fully built bike works as well? And has it been an issue for anyone?

Also, forgive me if this was already discussed but I did not see any posts in a quick scan, but does anyone have issues with the cable bends for mechanical shifting, especially the sharp bend up to the front derailleur?

Thought this might help others with their builds.  Does anyone have experience w/ this type of headset cap?

The provided cap has 4 holes w/ 4 open caps pre-installed and 2 closed caps provided separately

• You'll only want 2 open caps if running electronic shifting (to prevent dirt/water from entering)
• You'll want to decide which holes are closed BEFORE installing headset/hoses/etc.
• In my case, the rear hose is routed through the left hole (to the right brake lever) while the front through the right
• The disparity in angle/tension caused the cap to settle in a skewed position
• I think this type of cap fares better with more spacers but my stem is pretty slammed
• Not an issue per se, more of an aesthetic thing

Perhaps the cap would align better using different holes, routing the front hose around the steerer tube, or both?

You may want to experiment before securing hoses.

I got the 480, which is a little smaller than I am used to and installed a 130 mm stem. Its wheel base is 7 cm shorter than my previous bike, and it is just as very reactive. I can't notice the difference at all. The Speeder responds super quickly, and it's been perfectly fine for crits.

I got the 480. It's a little bit smaller than what I am used to but the fit still works.

I also ordered it. How long did it take to receive it ?

From placing the order to receiving the frame, it took about 5 weeks. It was right after Chinese New Year, so they may have been catching up on other orders as well.
