Looks like Dolan Bikes in the UK are now selling the VB-TT-023 under their brand

https://www.dolan-bikes.com/tr2/

They don't have much supporting info on the page, such as maximum tyre width etc

They're selling it with a storage/hydration box on the down tube, and from their instagram post there is a tool compartment built above the BB.

some funky colours available too....

Reckon one of these would be suitable for a rigid flat bar build?

Does anyone have experience with stacking spacers on this cockpit?
I love the frame, but think the winow will be better sizing for me due to the taller stack. I wondered if there was a limitation or anything to be aware of with stacking spacers to potentially raise the front end? I have seen you get get bridging plates to help with this, but didn’t know if there were any limitations or issues with going too high?

Do you offer coloured/anodised hubs?

5
Does anyone know if any of the above companies sell anodised/coloured hubs? Lightbicycle offer options for Chris king or hope, but come in at close to £1100 for a wheelset at that spec

Not sure why vendors build frames like this for TT bikes

I don't think I'd ride one of these, regardless of the innovation, technology etc that's gone into developing it.

Can we just have a modern/updated TT frame similar to the Winow and VB TT 23 with the drastic tubing? Would probably generate much more interest

Had my bike fit yesterday and now close to pulling the trigger on one of these!
I'm cretainly a L size frame because of my long legs, though I have a rather short torso in comparison. I was fitted against an Argon E117 frame, which has slightly shorter reach and higher stack.

I've reviewed some of the images of the builds on this thread and noticed quite a few of you have made adjustments to the base plate where the arm rests are mounted. I assume you're using something like the FastTT extender plates, or an AliEx equivalent. Would someone mind confirming if my assumption is correct?

Thanks!

Looking forward to seeing this!

Who did you contact at Velobuild? Have made a number of enquiries but not gotten a response

Thanks!

Hi Aradell and Serge_K,
thanks for your answers!

About the 1x13 setup, the only cassette currently available has 10-11-12-13-15-17-19-21-24-28-32-38-46 teeth
I was thinking of a 50t chainring with the 10-46 cassette. I of course want to run the cassette in den middle, so let's say 13-21 teeth.

 At a cadence of 90/min, I would run 30.6 km/h on 50/21 and 44.8 km/h on 50/13. At the extremes, 50/46 would result in 12.6 km/h and 50/10 in 58.2 km/h.

Therefore I thought this might be a good choice. However, I have done all my triathlons on a regular 2 x 11speed road bike so far, so I have zero experience with triathlon bikes and indeed the jumps, especially form 13 to 15 might be too high. So any advice is highly appreciated!

By the way: Does anyone have a contact to ICAN? I tried to get a quote via their homepage, but no answer so far.

Try melody@icanbikes.com. I had some emails backwards and forwards today, though they don't seem to respond to my question when i ask if/what custom painting they offer.

as an FYI, I've been quoted 950USD for frame, fork, seatpost, headset, hanger, handlebar, stem in UD matte and 187 USD to ship to the UK

Agree Serge, though slightly concerned about cockpit flexibility on the Ican TT from the comments in the thread and very few others that have one.

Have you made the plunge on your TT/triathlon bike yet?   ;D

Thanks for sharing the other thread, looks like they've changed the name for it for some reason

Agree it's expensive!

Stumbled across a new listing on the HongFu website for a newly released (2025) Triathlon/TT bike, the TM7 - https://www.hongfu-bikes.com/products/80.html

Seems to be sold either direct or under the 'Avenger' brand. Looks similar to the Ican TT017, though with a slightly larger bento storage (maybe?) above the BB and a different cocpit. Sizes from XS to XL, which seems broader than some other TT bikes available at the moment.

Did some googling and came across an interesting slow twitch forum post about the design collaboration and R&D on this that's worth a read for those in the market for a Triathlon/TT bike - https://forum.slowtwitch.com/t/hongfu-avenger-tribike-2025/1288609/10?page=2

Looking to pull the trigger on a triathlon bike myself over the coming months, and the Velobuild VBTT023 is the current favourite

Anyone else come across this frame in the wild? Would be great to hear about others experiences!

Had also been speaking to Ican about potentially buying this frame. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Thanks for sharing!

Looking forward to seeing the progress on this build, as I'm currently debating building up a Triathlon/TT frame too!

I see ICAN has released the a new TT017 as Serge_K mentioned. I've reached out to ICAN to see if they have any images of what it looks like as a full build.
I'm guessing as it's a newly released frame it's likely there aren't many in the wild, but if anyone does make a move on one I'd be keen to see/hear thoughts!
