Are you sure with this bearings? They have internal angle of 36 degrees. On the top it depends but on the fork side it schould be 45 or i am missing something?

Yep, something is wrong but is hard to tell what exactly. Looks like to long. Check threads in UDH and on the axle. Check wheel.

« on: January 18, 2026, 12:36:50 PM »Good afternoon. Today I decided to tinker with the frame a bit. I wanted to see if there would be any fork play, like some people here are experiencing. I assembled the frame with the fork and bearings, compression ring, and top cap. And indeed, there is some play back and forth. Measurements showed that the bearing seats are not perfectly aligned. In my opinion, the fork play is not due to the compression C-ring (although I consider this type of ring to be incorrect), but due to imprecise bearing seats.
When you put tension on the both sides (both bearings) they sit on the angled part of the cup. You are not supposed to press the bearings in. It should be like that.
If you already have bearing in hand. Are there any marks like P16 or P16K?

jonathanf2, DavidG there is a little bit of flex, nothing but normal in my opinion. My 54 looks same. But gcn have much bigger frame size.

It's hard to test frontend flex and look from the side of your own. I never done that. I wonder how dose it compare to other bikes/frames because i don't think there's so much of a difference. This frame may be on flexier side but i never felt like it's not solid or dangerous.

I've half sorted out the steering issue, but now I've noticed the rear wheel is much closer to the left chainstay than the right (the one on the drive side). It doesn't seem right to me. Does yours stay centered at the same distance? I checked with other wheels and it's the same, so it's not the wheels.
My Foto look familiar. I'm pretty sure everything is ok with my frame. Wheel is in line with seat tube. In my case if there is a difference it is a small one, it depends on point of view. How does it look in relation with other parts of your frame?

I checked everything again, and the bearings I received are identical: 40x52x7 mm, 36°/45°, both the upper and lower ones. Are yours the same? I'm trying to rule things out because I don't know what else to do. Thanks in advance.
That's interesting. I don't remember dimensions of my bearings (i should have note that). Bonus79 asked Spcycle about bearings:

Because I saw that there are some bearings 7mm high, while others 8mm, or the angles change: the ZTTO model of the link has both 45° angles, other models 36°/45°.
Since in the shop where I work we sell SKF bearings, I wanted to know if we have them too.
I asked David (Spcycle) directly for information: R088 uses an outer diameter of 52mm, an inner diameter of 39.8mm, a height of 7mm, and an angle of 45° bearings.
At this point I would say that I am almost ready to place the order, I am just waiting for confirmation from my biomechanic for the frame size and the size for the HB-05 handlebar.
In the end I decided to opt for the raw frame to be painted locally.
David confirmed that he can draw up an Alibaba order for me, in this way I can divide the cost into 3 installments.
So now there is a question. Which one is correct, does it matter? And do each customer receive same set?

I've seen this linked in a previous post on an earlier page, seems okay? KOCEVLO X01 Road Bike Full Carbon Fiber Stem Integrated Bicycle Handlebar For 28.6mm With Spacers Cycling Parts Accessories. It only allows free shipping, so I guess when it hits UK customs I'm liable to pay import duty?
Another question, in guessing it’s not got the rubber bungs included for the internal cable routing, for when the cable comes out of the frame?
Lastly, as I've just put the order in on AliExpress, would they contact me next week about my preferred colour?
Link from your previous post doesn't work for me. You can find in this thread few examples of handlebars used with this frame. I don't have actual dimensions but most headsets with round top cap 56-58 mm should be ok. I'm not familiar with UK import duty. Rubber bungs are not included but you may not need them. I think is better to specify your expectations about the color as soon as possible. I did it in the message after putting the order.

Bearings, expander plug and top cap comes with frame. I'm assuming you ordered only frame from spcycle?

« on: November 17, 2025, 02:05:06 PM »Hello. I need help choosing a frame size. I'm 180 cm tall, with an inside leg length of 86 cm, if not 87 cm. My reach is about 184 cm. I'm not very flexible; my toes don't quite reach the floor. I'm choosing between a 54 and 56 frame size. I'm leaning toward the 54, but I'm concerned about whether I'll have to extend the seatpost too high, which will result in it fitting too tightly into the frame.
I use an online translator, so there may be inaccuracies.
It's hard to advise on that topic. I think both are ok. I'm 178 cm, similar inseam 87 cm. I choose 54 because i was looking for more aggressive fit and nimble bike. I ended with 13 cm handelbar drop (slammed). I'm happy with it but it's not for everyone if you like more relaxed position 56 may be better choice.

Yes. But part of it is for safety pin (pin removed on the Foto). I don't know how it's look by sram but you can put washer under frame 2 mm or something like that.
