The smallest approved tire width for 26IW is 35mm, according to ETRTO standards. With that being said, do what you want. I’m running 32s, but I wouldn’t run 30s, although I know others on this forum are.

FWIW, I have CS-D50-CU-33 rims (26mm IW), which I use with 32mm GP5000 tube-type clinchers. Surprisingly, they only measure out to 33.3mm at 65psi.

I’m considering the R088 in size 58, but I’m a little concerned about frame stiffness. SPcycle told me the max loaded weight is 105 kg, and I weigh 93 kg (205 lb), so I’m getting close to that limit after the bike is fully built and loaded with gear.

Anyone else around this weight riding the R088, and how does it feel in terms of flex (especially when sprinting)?

Would really appreciate feedback before I pull the trigger.

That wheel was scratched a little bit during assembling and testion adjusting, that area was repainted, they insert those spoke holes with a stick to hold the wheel during painting, there should be some undried paint on the stick then left around the spoke holes, our workers did not check them again due to urgent shipping. I sent you an video showing how to deal with that. So sorry about this inconvenience.

I was able grind down the paint with a file and sandpaper - should be good to go now! Thanks for the help.

Planning to install Continental 32mm GP5000's w/TPU Tubes

During inspection, I noticed some small burrs around several spoke holes (images attached). Since I plan to run tubes, I want to make sure rim tape will provide enough protection to avoid punctures. I’ve reached out to Peter to see what he recommends.

For those who have received their wheels—has anyone else noticed this? Also, are there any other areas I should double-check before building them up?

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what’s the situation with shipping from China to Canada? I live close enough to Windsor that I could pick up a parcel shipped to a package receiving company. Obviously I would only do it for large purchases, but would taxes and duties be more favorable than shipping to the US?

Any thoughts on the performance of these wheels in cross winds?

I'm interested in getting a pair of either these Serenades, or another set of wavy/undulated wheels from xmcarbonspeed, LightCarbon, Farsports, or Yuanan. However, I'm skeptical that there's been any real testing to prove they improve performance in cross winds. The aesthetics do not match my bike very well, so if there is not a performance benefit, I'll probably just purchase a more traditional 50mm rim.

From what I can see, the Light Bicycle Falcon Pro and Elite Wheels Drive Helix seem closest to the Zipp and Princeton designs, but they're out of my price range.
