Get a pre order bike fit and give them the bike measurements? Not much point asking here unless someone has same femur and torso and arm length measurements and identical flexibility.

I don't care if a logo is made with AI as long as it looks good.

I asked if I can have a different logo they just pointed me to the options on the website. Also my 2x clearance question was ignored. I guess I have to search for a different frame. I'm sure they would sell a lot more of these if they had better design.

How important is a logo to you? While i would like to advertise the XCMS brand I have chosen to have no logo. My current frameset is almost logo free I am used to it.Those colours you have there are very close to mine. Once mine is done i will post a picture here.

The storage door is 4x13cm. Deepest point (middle of frame) is 5cm high.

My Cycplus AS2 Pro fits flat, but is tricky to get out then. So I use a pouch for a gravel tubolito, tire levers, multitool and dynaplug set. Fits perfectly. Pump I carry in the Apidura Race frame.

I forgot to ask how you were getting on with the Apidura frame bags? Top bag looks ideal sise. Fidlock or magnetic attachment for the inframe bag would be golden and avoid marking the headtube/frame.

I completely agree.

Hence why we worked on a new (high end) brand identity. There is a complete branding book, linking all Xmcs core principles and values to the AERYS concept. It was much more than a name, it was a lot of hard work and iterations to position Xmcs brand identity.

It was validated in the trademark database, trademark was filed, until just prior to the acceptance deadline a competitor notified us of his objection because he felt the name was too similar to a (non racing) bike range of his.

You cannot imagine how disappointing it was to see all these months of hard work, creativity and passion to be put down the drain with one letter.

That happened late, so not a lot of time to go through the same process again before the release pf the new frames. There needs to be something in terms of branding with the go live. There now is, and there are multiple options.

Perhaps in the future there will be something else like Aerys as a proper evocative high end brand identity, but exactly as you say: xmcs cannot keep on changing these things.

Simultaneously the half cut logo is a sales banger. GRT and VRT frames are selling incredibly well. Telling me the typical xmcs customer isn’t in this particular discussion on Chinertown.

Also makes me question why I engage so much here, as I don’t sell frames, parts, nor get any commission on xmcs sales. I’m - as a xmcs partner - just here because I am very much passionate of the product. I ride our GRT as often as I can. Every time I get of the bike I can’t wait for my next gravel adventure.

But I take all your feedback to personal ;-). In the end, the branding is now clarified. Don’t like it? Send Peter a message.

In the meantime I will focus on my own customers.

Thanks for all your help on this forum and WW. I have told Peter you are a great ambassador for the brand. If I end up getting a VRT to add to my soon to arrive GRT I may pop over the channel to buy from you and then ride back- that should deal with the duty risk.
Let us know when you source internal storage bags for the GRT.

You need the FD mount for a chain catcher.

My vielo is designed for 1x. I haven’t ever dropped a chain in 3y of use. Perhaps I just got lucky

Thats very nice!

I went with c xrays on the same wheelset. They are on their way so review to follow. Loved my old 28mm corsa's so may try these or the GP500 in 35mm

FWIW i think the frame should have been 1x only, much like with other big name producers. The area where the FD has to sit could have been made cleaner and perhaps, if necessary, beefier for power transfer.

I think an FAQ, e.g. internal storage sise and bags, to take the pressure off Tim, and avoid unnecesary emails and whatsapp between potential customers and XCMS would have been good. No dounbt they will get there.

I am hugely excited about getting the frame. Cannot wait actually

That is a hugely helpful reply. I was contemplating buying a few a few. I ride nose down 5 degrees and my cojones might get away with it but if the saddle lacks that all important flex then its probably not worth the risk.

Hi,
Anyone used this? Especially interested in opinion of those users who have also used the Berk Lupina. It was by far my favourite saddle for long rides including 225km. Howver, 2 breakages-following tumbles-and post brexit repair return issues are forcing a reassessment of Ryet alternatives.

I have searched but cannot find anything about how may storage bags come with the frame for the internal storage or the dimensions of the bag/s. Does anyone know before i ask Peter?

Well, to answer my own question the frameset does not come with internal storage bags and it seems they are not available. I do not know the internal dimensions so difficult know sising and sourcing elsewhere. Anyone encountered this with the other framset providers and how you got around it?

edit-I have sourcerd 2  tideace bags off Ali. You can get them for between $6 and $11. They may not be the ideal sise but hopefully, if not, Peter will produce/source them soon.

@requiem84-can you please measure how much space/maximum sise for an electric pump in the internal storage? I need to know if mine will fit and if not siurce a smaller one. Cheers.

I am going with a mix of these 2 coulours-i just have to let Peter know where each goes. That file would be very helpful.

Nice. Even more reassured about my choice of the GRT.

This never sold. It is the usual XCMS quality. Price reduced to 120gbp. I will thrown in some kovcelo spacers i bought separately to sweeten the sale.
