Argon18 has been a pioneer when it comes to low BBs. Even the Nitrogen from 10 years ago had a 75 mm drop, and it was the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden.

Since the new Nitrogen costs €13k with an Ultegra build, I've been looking for a more affordable alternative. It's a shame this one is priced out of reach as well. I wouldn't pay even half of that for a Chinese frame, no matter how reputable the manufacturer is. I guess it's better to just wait for something to come up on the used market.

I have bb86 frame. If I remeber correctly I have 2mm and 0,5mm or 1mm spacers wich came with the crankset on the driveside and 1mm or 0,5mm spacer on the nds and I still need to tighten preload ring a bit.
Of course, if I had more spacers I could center them, but at the time of installation I only had the three spacers that came with the cranks and that was left for later because it really isn't a problem you notice or can feel and riding the bike was more important.
Maybe I'll order more spacers as they aren't hard to source, but I was wondering if I put more spacers on the nds crankarms would't sit all the way into the axle splines and it would widen the Q-factor. I've also heard that this Easton Spider would move chainline a little further, so I wouldn't even necessarily need spacers.

That's strange because I thought that narrow q-factor was the reason people were buying these cranks in the first place. Or could it be that they have already sold out of all their 165mm road bike cranksets and are now passing 165mm mtb-cranksets as road variants?

I've been riding a 165mm crankset for a few months now, with a q-factor of ~146mm. Overall, I've been very satisfied. In terms of quality, they sit somewhere between the Lexxon and Elilee cranks. With these, I have not needed any spacers between the Favero pedals, which makes the q-factor even narrower. Axle sits sitffer in the bb than in Shimano cranksets and as a result they dont spin freely as easily but I don't think that makes even 0,1 watts difference.

I have not encountered any problems, except that installation was a pain in the ass, as there were no instructions available. I had to disassemble the cranks few times to fiddle with spacers and to get correct chainline. ATM I have couple of spacers on the driveside but NDS sits ~1,5mm closer to the frame. Maybe later I'll try to center both crankarms with different spider and extra set of spacers but for now on I've let it be as it doesn't make any difference.

I have noticed that in all finished builds, the saddle seems to float over the seat tube. I would order one right away, but I couldn't stand looking at a seatpost and saddle like that.
So I was wondering if it would be possible to come up with a mounting system where the saddle rails would sit lower and cover some of that gap between the seatpost and the saddle.

Just and armchair engineer diagnosis here: A few posts above, there is a picture of what seem to be spacers with the same pattern as the spider's interface. Maybe those have to be used? Really just guessing, I don't have the cranks.

Those photos are from BigRock crankset. I just recieved mine today and they came with spacers for spider.

From what I can tell these seem to be good quality and spindle isn't out of spec like some have reported to be the  case with other brands 24mm cranksets. I measured the q-factor to be ~146mm wich is ~1mm wider than advertised but it's still narrower than most cranksets offer.
Unfortunately I can't install them since bb I ordered is stuck in the mail sorting center. Hopefully I'm able to figure how to install them and chainline hits the spot.

This crankset supposedly has a q-factor of 145mm. So far I haven't ordered chinese cranksets because for some reason they have wide q-factor, but I might have a go with these.
