I am exited for your review. This is currently my favorite and I think I will oder it within the next few days, unless you have some mayor downsides. The only thing I am worried about is the frame being too small, but 58 already is the largest size.

Can't really compare my current Geometry, since i ride enduro/trail bikes.

Can anyone really confirm, that low profile 40mm tires fit?

Hey guys,

I'm stuck between the Tantan FM301 (looks like this one) and the GR201 gravel bike.
I've mostly ridden full-suspension MTBs, so I'm not sure which would be best. I won't be riding trails, but I'll be on quite a few unpaved roads. I figure with the wide tire clearance, these bikes should be good for that, right?
Also, any other tall riders out there? I'm 195cm (6'4") and worried a 58cm frame might still be too small. Thoughts?

I think the geometry states 602mm stack and 165mm headtube for the 580 version.

I haven't really tried a whole lot of bikes other than MTBs...
Also don't have any experience on the influence of different specs.
I tried a friends Canyon Grail 1 in size XL, but that looks odd in every geometry comparison, due to the frame-integrated bars.
Also tried a rose backroad in L, that felt a little small, but I have no idea, how much another stem/cockpit can change.
Guess I have to try that, but i think, that could work out.

I find it a bit odd, that the are almost no reviews of the tantan wheels.
Would you think they are worth a shot, or should I stick to a known brand?

Hey guys,

Getting ready to jump into the gravel world and the Tantan GR201 frame looks like a great option.

I'm 195cm and trying to figure out the right size. Would the 58cm be the way to go for my height? Anyone else around this height on a GR201?

Also wondering about Tantan's own wheels. Thinking of grabbing them too, but I haven't really seen any reviews anywhere. Has anyone here tried them out? Worth it?

Coming from MTB, my first thought was a 1x setup. But for how I plan to use this bike – mostly road with the occasional gravel detour – I'm leaning more towards a 2x now.

The only way I'd probably stick with 1x is if I could run a big ring like 48t for road speed. But reading around here, it sounds like putting a 48t on the front with 1x might be an issue on this frame. Is that right?
