Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Velobuild AERO GRAV Frame

Do you mind to explain why? Up to now I have not used any integrated handlebar, so I have no experience.

Are 2-Bolt mounts in general crap or just this specific one?

What kind of computer mount fits to the integrated handle bar? Is it a 2- or 3-bolt mount?

I want to build a new commuter bike and this frame is actually quite nice.

One of the requirements would be the ability to install fender and a rack. From the pictures that I see, the rack should be possible.

Ideally I want to install normal fender (for example https://www.sks-germany.com/Produkte/Schutzbleche/BLUEMELS-STYLE-27-5-29-SET.htm?a=article&ProdNr=111&p=1003). So a screw at the bottom bracket and one at the seat stays is required.

The pictures I could find, are not 100% clear. So can someone verify if this would be possible?

Hello

I'm looking for budget-friendly commuter bike with about 40 mm tire clearance with installed fender. It should also be possible to install a normal bike rack for bags.

I have seen Mondince FM326 or FM356. Lightcarbon has the 071 (087 is too small). Are there other options? Maybe even solutions that are a bit more budget friendly?

Thx a lot for the suggestions. I have ordered one from YKYW and will report how the fit is.

@crazyravr: I also had the same idea, will do it most likely on the one I already have.

The white one is an eye-catcher  8)

BTW: do you have an overview, of all rim profiles that you offer? Or is the easiest option to contact you with a set of requirements / ideas?

A while ago I ordered these shorts: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005009734029244.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.80.37865c5fmQUKra&gatewayAdapt=glo2deu (HISERWA Pro Team)

The quality of the short is very good, quite comfy also on longer rides.

My only problem so far is the length of shoulder straps - they are a bit short.

Do you have any recommendations where the lower part (legs) is more less the same, but has longer shoulder straps?

Do you have recommendations for (aero) socks that are available for large feet? I wear shimano EU47 (foot length about 30cm)

I think I have seen a lot for smaller feet, but not really one for my size.

I have the 074 now for a few month. I use for a bit of everything: Gravel, Road, Trails.

And so far I like it a lot. it is very fast, feels responsive and an easy trail is no problem. The only downside so far: accepts "only" 45mm tires at the rear.

So after a few month of riding in the woods, a first report.

I really like the frame, the look is very nice and the ride quality high. Sometimes i have the feeling it is a bit too soft (mainly at high speeds) and sometimes, it could provide more damping (rough descents). So for me it is a very nice build, that I really like riding.

After a couple of rides during muddy winter conditions, I have noticed that the rear tire is rubbing against the frame (near the rear suspension). I use Schwalbe One Pro RS 50mm front and rear. So I guess the 50 mm tire is bit too much for the rear wheel.

So far I really like it. I have tested it on a few nice gravel roads, a bit of single trail, normal roads. Feels good, except for steep descents... which is not really the terrain it is build for.

Maybe I will swap the stem for a shorter one. Maybe also swap the drop bar to something with more flare.

Yes, I did.

After the first ride I was also able to tighten the screw properly. So right now everything feels tight and good!

They call the green colour LCB-08HS Chameleon Green.

The frame comes with fork, spacer, stem and seatpost. Handlebar is from alix https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005008669466111.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.137.354c5c5fpc2pyo&gatewayAdapt=glo2deu

If I pull the front brake, I can feel and hear that the shaft of the fork moves a bit.

Until now, I haven't investigated in detail the reason behind this movement.

With a different bike, I had the same behaviour and I could eliminate the movement by tighten the ahead cap.

I have received my frame four days ago.

The paint job is very good, but not superb. If you consider the price, it is absolutely worth it! I will upload pictures later.

After completing the assembly, I noticed that the headset bearing was slightly loose. I tightened all screws to the specified torque. Has anyone else the same problem?
