I have to say, that i didn't got the small washer and just used some sandpaper in the bottom headset cap, because it was rubbing against the frame.
One month later i first saw that there is a washer in some packages from the other users here  ;D

When you open the storage compartment door, you have to pull it upwards to remove it. When you do so, the door levers against the spot in question. I suspect this is the source of the cracks. I try to be as gentle as I can when removing the door.

Yeah, it also depends on the bottle cage you use.
I twist mine out sideways to avoid the contact

Good point, i will check it.

So.... It's not wrinkles.
One side of the larger frame bag is cut and bonded absolutely perfectly
The other side with the zip is either cut slightly long or the material is bonded a bit off which means the face of the bag won't sit flush and flat. Very frustrating, but for twenty quid...shrug.
I've got another coming so will see if that's the same.
Shame as it spoils an otherwise brilliant bag  :(

Looks like replacement is doing the same annoying thing. So near but so far.

Do you have some pictures of that issue?

A short update after 2000km on my bike.

Discovered a little crack in the paint in the right top corner of the storage opening.

LC checked the pictures and said: "Our engineer said that is just a little bit crack on the paint surface, it won't affect the stiffness and strength. Please don't worry about that."

I mean in this area you can not flex the carbon due to the thickness of it, so pushing and squeezing it doesn't do anything.
I also don't hear any difference when tapping it. I'm no carbon expert but will trust LC with this statement.

Still waiting for an answer to the question that this shouldn't be normal in the paint, after 2k and 3/4 year of riding.

And i don't want to complaint about, that the under 1k€ frame has a small crack in the paint (if it's only the paint i guess).
I mean, i ride this bike like a 1.5k€ bike. No paint protection foil or else.

At the end of the day it's a not a 10k€ bike, which i would cry over every small dent/scratch in the paint ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Component Deals & Selection / Re: chinese carbon saddles
« on: June 17, 2026, 07:26:15 AM »
I have ordered two new Ryet carbon 3D saddles from Lexon (in 143mm and 140mm wide).
One of them got loose after less than 300km. The other one has only 112km, let's see what happens with it.
They sent me 50% of the price back. The saddles look good, weigh 170-175g more than in the description, but that’s fine as long as they feel good and are durable.
In terms of feel, they’re not bad or comfortable for my ass, for me just regular saddles….
Hey, could you do me a favor and measure the width of the nose of the saddles?
Thank you.

Hi everyone,

Is anyone running an LCR018-D frame with an Ultegra 12v (R8100) groupset?
I’m getting  vibrations (rumbling) when pedaling under tension on the smallest cogs. It’s also especially noticeable on my direct-drive trainer.

My drivetrain is brand new and perfectly indexed. Has anyone noticed a similar resonance or chainline issue with this specific frame combo, or is it just my setup?

Thanks!

I have something similar, but i have some cheap RIRO/Goldix Chainrings, ZTTO cassette and  Wheeltop FD/RD. Sometimes it sounds like the chain doesn't match the teeth of the cassette and you than get a vibration which than accumulated into more vibration and noise.

I always assume it's the cheap setup and not the frame itself.

Hey fellow V1 Door owners,

I might have something for you.
A small 5cent 3D printable part which safes you latch, door, bottle cage with bottle during the ride.

Put way to much time into it and still not perfect, but 90% is good enough for something like this :D

https://www.printables.com/model/1753559-safety-tab-thingy-for-downtube-cover-v1-lcr018-d

It's adding 2mm between the door and bottle cage, and you just have to bend the tap upwards and than you can use the latch.

Will take a little test ride now :)
Edit: Works and did not open during the ride :D

Vendor Discussion & Reviews / Re: Interesting Chat with a vendor
« on: June 08, 2026, 12:09:58 AM »
The last time I send something back for like 80€, the seller contacted me and begged that I can send it back to him directly and get my money back over PayPal etc. But when I would send it back via the AliX process, the item will be destroyed and he don't get any money from it. Sounds like AliX is forcing the sellers to have always happy customers, otherwise they get shit...

Anyway, private shipping would be 16€ and the seller was very vague about paying for the shipping or not.

I have to say that mine also started to get really loud, i already thought that the front chain rings are the problem. But getting so loud during the ride that you could hear it from the back.

At the moment i put some old TPU tube slices between the cogs and it is so much quieter, i have to order another casette.

After The Ride / Re: Strava New Effect

Got the feature also today, maybe Strava rolling it out in waves.

Update:
I got the Aero 111 for the front and a GP5000 AS (just to have a bit more of puncture resistance) for the back.

Response from her was: much less drag with cross winds, like the front wheel is now heavier and pushing more to the ground and the wind does not affect it that much any more.

Wasn't able to test it since, but i would say it's a very good option and cheaper than new wheels.

The seatpost and storage cover have kept me holding off on a final decision. These new reports of high speed wobble are more concerning. I'm wondering what role wheel/tire choice are playing in this.

Could be also a bad balanced wheel? I mean i haven't this kind of issue, but i also balanced my wheels with weights in the rim.

I was wondering about the axle length and if it's too long for the 86mm bottom bracket.

I have it installed at the moment on a T47 86.6mm BB with the D24mm.
I put like 1 or 1,5mm spacer on the none drive side. Just because it was not in the middle and I measured it from the arms to the middle of the frame.

I have something similar with my cheap Think Rider Alu Crank set (L165mm/D24mm) and power meter, normal pedaling is fine, but as soon you put a bit more power into it, you hear a chain rub on one spot of the chainring. I assume it's the cheap crank set in my case.

I had the same with a RIRO carbon crank set (L165/D29), which i had installed with a cheap ceramic BB. In this case it was the BB itself, it had to much play, even when pre-loaded correctly you could basically twist the axle in the BB shell. I have to make a picture of the spindle later today, because there is a specific wear pattern on the spindle (paint), which is 180° appeared on left and right of it.

So for now I'm waiting to get some other crank with D24mm in carbon and maybe a power meter to replace the Think Rider alu one.

But you can see on the D29mm spindle that there was a lot of play on the ball bering, otherwise the wear pattern would look like this. At least i think that the ball bearing was the culprit.

Hi all again,
i still cant fix the issue.
I reinstalled crankset AND bb multiple times, using alot of grease and the correct torque. i also used spacers to eliminate play in the bb. Everything runs smovely and without any noise, when using the small chainring. But when using the big chainring and applying force the left pedal, there are these weird noises. I can rule out the chainring and pedals too, because i also reinstalled them and on the small chainring everything is perfect.
A lot of research let me come to the conclusion, that the BB does seem to not be able to handle the torque/torsion of the crank spindle when using left pedal with big power and using the big chainring.
Has anyone any experiences like this? What else can I try besides buying a new bearing?
