Well guys, after a year of riding I have to report that my Wildside 3D printed saddle has not passed the durability test. The 3D printed parts have gotten softer over time and way more squishy than they used to be. It's not too bad on the most dense portion of the saddle, but the other parts bottom out onto the carbon shell without much pressure at all. The end result in my case: saddle sores. I'm not sure this would be such a huge issue if not for how large the holes are on this particular model.

The carbon shell is fine. No issues to report there. I don't think I'll be trying another 3D printed saddle because I was never convinced that it was more comfortable than a regular saddle in the first place.

This is the main drawback of AliExpress: If you don't write your review right away, then you'll never be able to add one later after you actually have time to test the products.

I had one set and was happy enough to buy a 2nd set. Unfortunately, the front rim on the 2nd set cracked when I was installing a tire.

That would have been bad enough, but then they tried to be cheap and offered to send me a replacement rim, not a wheel. When I asked for a new wheel instead, they tried to get me to pay $60 for it. Instead of playing around with them more, I asked for a refund through AliExpress instead.

Manufacturing defects happen, but for them to try to scam me instead of solving the problem wasn't very nice.

These are exactly the CSC wheels I'm considering. The look really nice for the price. Are you sure the can be cheaper through their website. On Ali there is always the VAT cut when you purchase the order which I haven't ever seen though producers website.
About the size, how is the clearance on the r088 frame? I'm not yet sure if ordering a 28 or 30 outer width.

I have the 23/30 version and there is plenty of clearance on the frame. I've installed 2 different brands of tires that are 28s that measure out to 30 and they fit with a lot of room to spare. I think the claimed tire clearance of 32 is fairly conservative. I have some gravel tires (40) coming for a different bike and I'm going to put them on this bike and see if they fit just for fun.

It took me about a month to get my CSC wheels from AliExpress. Not the fastest order processing in the world, but the wheels have been great so far. I'm up to 5,500 km on mine with no issues to report.

I am storing tubes, tire levers and a multitool in the storage bag. Having this i don't need the saddle bag anymore.
IMO it looks better and cleaner - i would always opt for it.
Triathlon will have no Sprint in the Bike - the less stiffness should affect less than in crits.
Beside this: Most of the km will be Training and not in a competition.

Yeah, I think the stiffness difference is one of those things that might be measurable, but not something that we would really notice in the real world. I have a gravel frame coming with internal storage and I'm not worried about it at all. Most of us guys are visual creatures, right? The enjoyment of seeing my bike without a saddle bag is going to outweigh any imperceptible loss of stiffness.

I was more concerned about the durability of the lid than the frame itself. If the lid breaks then it could be a pain to get a replacement, especially years later from now.

Thanks for all the insights I was able to read here before ordering the Spcycle New Mold SP-R088 frame.

Shipping was quite fast:
Ordered: Jan 12, 2026 → Delivered: Feb 3, 2026

However, I’ve run into two issues and would really appreciate the community’s thoughts and experiences.

1. Damage to the frame during transport

Unfortunately — and I’ve read this happened to someone else before — the UDH appears to have contacted the frame during shipping. As a result, a small piece of carbon and paint has chipped off.

I’ve discussed this with the seller, who indicated it looks like cosmetic (paint) damage rather than structural carbon damage. A partial refund was mentioned as a possible solution, but I’m first trying to understand how serious (or common) this type of damage is on delivery.

2. Asymmetry in the rear triangle

At the risk of sounding naive: does anyone else have a rear triangle like this?
The right seatstay has a noticeable curve, while the left side looks straight (see photo). I installed the wheel this morning and, fortunately, it sits straight in the frame.

The seller explained that many frames use an asymmetric rear triangle design, which I understand in theory, but visually it still surprised me — so I’m curious if other SP-R088 owners see the same shape.

Just hoping to learn from other owners whether this all falls within normal expectations for this frame.

Mine is similar with a slight curve on the drive side. I assumed it was intentional.

I have the same question about the freehub body. What would be compatible with the D272 hub (SR261 from H Works)? I want to switch my current wheels over to Shimano HG. CSC sent me a link on AliExpress, but the item doesn't ship to my area.

Would this one from ZTTO fit?

Yesterday I hit 1,000 miles (1,600 km) on this frame and I'm still pleased with the purchase. The thing that stands out to me is how well this bike handles. It's not twitchy, but much more responsive than my previous bike, which steered a bit like a truck. Yesterday I had to dodge a pothole in a corner at the last second, which felt effortless. I would have felt like I was wrestling my old bike in that scenario.

It's not as aero as some of the other frames coming out of China these days, but a lot of those frames are also getting a lot more expensive. I consider this frame to be a very good value for the money and chasing better aerodynamics would result in diminishing returns, as far as I'm concerned. Not to say that I'm against anybody else chasing those gains, it's just not my preference right now.

I'm so glad that frames like this exist. Stuff is getting crazy expensive these days, but you don't need to spend a ton of money to have fun on a bike. So far I'm happy with my decision to go this route as opposed to the used market. I got the handlebar/stem size I wanted, the crank length I wanted, lighter wheels than would have come with a used bike, etc.

My next bike will be built for a bike tour and I'll definitely be buying direct from China again.
