Got the frame in and overall I’m very impressed. Quality looks great and weight was right at 650 for the frame with dropout and fork was 310 uncut.

I’m doing the maths and even with some heavier wheels, I will be close to sub 5kg. The picture is with a cut fork, headset, spacers, stem, and handlebar at 1220g.

Considering mine will be a XXS, I’m hoping the difference is around 300-400 grams less for the fork and frame compared to your version. Unfortunately I haven’t had much luck with claimed and actual weight when dealing with AliExpress.

I’m not going all in but I will be very selective on the parts I’m using. I should be under 6kg race ready but would love to be well under that considering this build will be a 1x and the rider is only 21kg.

Excellent build and thanks for the review. I actually just ordered the XXS 580g version for my son a few days ago. I paid a few hundred more but if the weight is close to what’s advertised I will be happy.

Haha.. and yeah even if it’s 650g with paint, that will still shave 600+ grams from his current frame. I will go all in and see how close to 5kg I can get.

His current setup is around 6.8kg

To circle back on this post, I went ahead and gambled on the Microck aka Bigrock Aethos Clone in a size XXS 45. The seat tube is listed at 400mm although it appears I could maybe take upwards of another CM or two to get it even lower. It’s also listed at 580g which I find hard to believe. I will be sure to follow up once it’s received.

Excellent, I will check these out! We currently use a HUP 37cm CX bike but was hoping for something lighter and maybe more aerodynamic for the next build!

I was hoping someone can give ideas on which frames have the smallest stand over, stack, and reach.

Ideally I’m looking for sub 700mm stand over with the shortest stack and reach possible.
