If anyone has any tips besides the ones given in this thread about seatpost slipping, I'd love to hear them. I've tried everything while waiting for replacement parts but the seatpost keeps slipping even with 9nm.

Update about my issues. Velobuild and Chris have been amazing about my seatpost struggles and are sending me a new seatpost and seatpost clamp. They have been helpful with all possible problems and in understanding them.

I would like to share my thoughts on the frame I received assembled from my local bike shop last week.

My local bike shop reported some problems that arose during the construction of the bike:

1- The frame didn't come with the C clip mentioned in some videos/comments in this forum. This was solved with a spacer made by the shop

2- The chainstay issue is indeed annoying, but as far as I know it was corrected in newer frames.

3- They also said there was a problem with the crankset that they were able to correct with a spacer. I don't have any further details beyond that.

4- The most worrying part is that the seatpost slips when tightened to 5nm with carbon paste. I even tried 9nm as Patrick Lino mentioned in the video and even then the seatpost would lower in any pothole or bump. Even when tightened to 9nm, I could easily move the seatpost from side to side with my hands. For context, I weigh 65kg.

This is just my experience, but if you are interested in this frame, I would wait for all these defects to be corrected before ordering.

The frame is aero and stiff without being uncomfortable. For the price, it is certainly something I would recommend, but not right now.

Do you have any photos of the forks pre installation?

I can talk about my experience and the seatpost hasn’t been an issue and came with all the necessary parts.

I only got this photo of the fork that shows the base of the fork where the crown race doesn’t seat properly. It might be user error so I don’t want to blame it on the frame without a proper mechanic’s opinion.

Here she is. Seatpost needs carbon paste because there is no screw to tighten anything. Pushed some tissues into the seat hole to fill out the gap between seatpost and frame.

Front fork unfortunately still ratlles back and forth, especially when braking. the fork already comes with an angled base, so I could not fit the fork crown race, maybe that's the reason?

If any of you have the same problem or maybe arleady found a solution, it'd be much appreciated if you could share
