Interested. Front deraileur?

Have the version V1.0 here.
So I removed the RD and FD to do some maintenance on the frame.
Kit sat on the bench maybe a day or 2.
Put it all back and now FD wont engage.
RD works fine. Shifters fine. Battery fine. Cables fine. Removed app. New account, reinstalled app, re-paired. Still nada.
Even took the FD and plugged it into another ER9 bike and it did work. So rules FD out.

So what the phuk would make a somewhat perfectly working fine set all of sudden stop communicating with one another?
Something in the RD since this is the brains of the operation.
Of course LTWOO service is worthless as tits on a boar to reply.

Component Deals & Selection / Re: Chinese cycling clothes

Probably saw the prices, hence the face. :D Yea, I know, this is a bit too expensive, just wanted to share this with the OP asking for a boutique brand. At this price I think they could be labeled that.

$77.00 for a bike jersey on AliEx? Come on.
My guess $3.25 in materials and labor to produce and ship. Rest is profit. ;D

I don't see how some people justify spending these designer handbag prices for kits only to show off at Starbucks on that Sat morning group ride?
Big fuk whoop. I guess I'm more utilitarian: Ride like hell , sweat in them,  wash, and if they get destroyed...toss into trash. Done.

Just not a fan of these Pinarrellos or replicas. The curvs, the bulk, and IMHO look more feminine.

Component Deals & Selection / Re: KORE wheelsets

Deep rims and big tires are sails.

The average windspeed in my area is nearly 13mph/20kmh. The road layouts are in a grid so most of the time its coming at some type of crosswind angle.   --  I run as shallow of a wheel I can find because the aero benefits of a deep wheel don't overcome how annoying the buffeting from cross winds are for me.   Bladed spokes are such a small change that I've never noticed a difference (my road bike has wheelsets in both bladed and regular spokes).

Same here for me. Midwest USA. Grid layout for most country roads is a great flat on workout. With the wind you can fly like Chuck Yeager!. Then you make the turn 90 degrees and your in wind tunnel testing  F35 Raptors.

:-\ :-\ :-\

I had a ER9 RD fail on me too. See my post.
These V1s had nothing for sealing the housing around the control board. Nothing. I carefully disassembled the unit and found out.
No special O-ring, no sealant, nada.
They relied on the metal cover to hopefully marry-up into the main part and hope you never you water in there. Bad bad design.
If I had another one I'd take a small nozzle tip and silicone caulk the perimeter seal around the control board unit housing.

Well, me being the kinda guy who fucking hates a mystery decided to pull the motor as they say.
Looked over the mechanics. No signs of water intrusion however the motor housing seems to lack any O-ring or gasket seal . WTF LTWOO? So they saved a few shekels not waterproofing the most important part of the damn system??..LOL. These things will get wet on occasion. Being such low voltages its impossible to say if the main control board is fried.
So after uncorking it all, I did manage to dislodge the red and green wires so I need to find a micro soldering kit. Or just wait for damned new rear derailleur.
I was able to move the internal gears around to move the main gears &  spindle that swings the derailleur arm.

I was able to snag one off DJC Bikes.
https://djcbikes.com/products/l-twoo-er9-electric-rear-derailleur-10-12-speed-32t-aluminium-ltwoo-bike-rear-derailleur
I'm paying $150.00 shipped so not that bad.
It's the version V1 I need too. I had the guy at DJC send me a pic of the derailleur to be sure.

Swapped in new coin battery's for both shifters to rule that out.
Reset app setting to factory.
Left shifter is working the FD fine.
Went into the app and I'm able to work the FD fine. Also in the app I switched the "handing" of operation and the right shifter will work the FD if done so.
Still cant operate the RD from the app or on shifter. A quick red light will flash on the RD if I try.
I'm narrowing this down to motor failure. Since the RD does show on the app?

11
Looks like the motor gone bad.
Green light is good. Charges good, Front derailleur works fine.
App shows both components. Pressing the button on the derailleur for debugging does not move anything.
Bad motor component is my guess.

I emailed LTWOO direct. Nothing back.
Any other options ?
I'd hate to have to shell out another $600.00 for a whole new V3.0 group set when I all need is damned rear D.
AliEx doesn't seem to sell previous version of parts.

Well some good news I hope.
DH Gate is telling me after they reviewed my dispute case the full amount will be refunded.
5-10 days so I'll believe it when I see it.

What a pain the ass though. Literally takes days to simply  answer back and forth. Communications sucks from both the seller and DG Gate.
I understand they are dealing with thousands of online sellers and then customers but I hope this fraud or lost parcels isn't this common.
I'm still perplexed about who would go to all this trouble to supposedly intercept my bike box, write up and send me a phreaking small envelope with nothing in it if the parcel was lost/ stolen at some airport or dockyard?

Vendor Discussion & Reviews / Awe crap....was I scammed? DH Gate seller
« on: September 22, 2025, 06:12:19 PM »
This store:
https://www.dhgate.com/store/21625948

Placed an order few weeks ago for a TT-X42 w/ Wheeltop Electronic carbon bike. About $980.00
His DH Gate store looked legit, reviews, etc.
I know from China it's a slow boat so I waited, watched the tracking and order status like a hawk. Package tracking said supposed to arrive today . (maybe earlier than 10/3...good)  Package did arrive in the mail box! did. A freaking envelope with a small piece of foam. Is this the ol fake package scam?
But on DH Gate the order still notes "package in transit  arriving 10/3/25".
Order tracking still says " unverified"...so I wonder?

Immediately got with DH to file claim// dispute. Hopefully a refund?
On DH, Is the money paid for an order held in escrow until buyer actually receives item and verifies?

I need to find a crankset now. Recommendation ? Will I be tied to forking over a ton$ for a Chorus 12 speed ultra-torque/ Or will another off-brand work?
This carbon frame I'm using has BB30 bracket so its be nice to slip in one that works with the Campy chain.

Oh, and by the way. Campy 12sp doesn’t need special freehubs. The spacing is virtually identical with Shimano. You can use any old wheelset with HG freehub and a Shimano cassette. That’s what I do with my Chinarello Dogma rim brake frame and Chorus 12sp. Works just fine. N3W is only needed for 13sp. Campy 11 and 12sp is cross compatible with Shimano cassettes and equivalents.

No shit?
I've been scouring the internets for wheelsets, hubs, adapters, etc..etc. Shimanos will work? Much easier to locate here in the US.
I was told to use a Campy Chorus crankset. Also chain needs to be for the Chorus 12 speed.
