Component Deals & Selection / 46-30 crankset for r7100
« on: January 02, 2026, 01:09:53 AM »
I have a second endurance bike that i intend to use for gravel. Gearing is 50-34 with 11-36 casette. However i want to use lighter gearing. First thought was to use 2x grx cranks but i cant find any in stock with 165mm cranks.

I found this on Ali, would that work with r7100 considering it has a 43.5 chainline?

Thank you

Don’t expect much positive at the end, they are bankrolled by western brand, they can’t conclude “why would you pay canyon money when you can have that for a fraction of the cost”

Unfortunately I think you are right! While I enjoy watching GCN episodes while training indoors, it is pretty obvious that their content should be considered as entertainment only, because any conclusions that they ever make are in line with their sponsors.

I was really excited when I saw that video but it was pretty obvious where it was heading.

Since this topic already exists I didn’t wan to start a new one.

I just finished my build with this frame, only thing I’m missing are the wheels. I ordered Elite Drive II 50 which should arrive shortly.

Build went smoothly and the frame looks good both inside and out. Only issue I had was with stem spacers which don’t align with each other and with the handlebar. I decided to sand the pins that connect spacers to the handlebar because they didn’t match the holes on the handlebar.

Handlebar is ok, I’ll keep it for now, but better option would be to use FSA headset and FSA compatible handlebar / stem as discussed on the 266 topic.

Overall I’m really satisfied with this build!

I sanded the spacers to try to make them fit better which did work to some extent!

Two larger spacers are usable now, but the smallest is way of in relation to the pins.

I have yet to try to asseble it with  the handlebar, but it looks good.

As I can't find Assos Cento Evo bibs anywhere anymore ordered some Darevie bibs I hope they're decent. More and more stuff "I'll never buy from China" I end up buying there.

I recently ordered YKYWBIKE bibs and I am very impressed with what you get for the price.
Regarding Assos, i have Mille GT and Equipe R bibs and those are the purchases that i regret the most. They dont work well for me, i get saddle sores and those are the only pairs of bibs that forced me to use chamois cream.

So now I only  use them for 1hr indoor rides  ;D

olives are already pre installed, but I had to buy the pin, as they were not coming with the groupset, the ref. is H90.

Here you will have the installation manual, just look after your groupset and all will be explain.

https://si.shimano.com/en/

Thank you for your help, Ill use those manuals for the rest of the build!  :)

Did you guys get the insert pins for brake hoses with your complete groupsets? Cant find them.

https://www.bike24.com/p2824542.html

Those are the correct pins to order right?

ordered it just because of the low price

I recieved the same hardware with this handlebar for my LTK268 .

But cannot asseble the spacers; I can stack them on the bottom cap but the pins dont match the holes in the handlebar!
If i try to fit the handlebar on the bottom cap (slamed stem) it fits. But the spacers seem to be off.

Is yours better?

Edit:

I did order the FSA headset because the the one that came with the frame looks bad.

Do spacers really need to hold onto the handlebar with pins? I could grind them off so they could fit under the handlebar.

I have the 268 frame so im not concerned with weight, and i would really like to make this handlebar work i dont see anything wrong with it.

I received my Ultegra groupset from Yiwu Donglue today! Everything came nicely packaged and everything is genuine and working perfectl!

I paid 960 EUR for complete groupset but without disc rotors. I had to pay additional 36 EUR for customs and duties when it arived in EU. This is significantly cheaper than current offers in EU stores so it’s worth taking into consideration when buying. However if I was charged with full import duties it would be on par with offers you can find here. So depending on your risk appetite this is worth a shot.

Hello guys,
I ordered from Yiwu Donglue Bicycle Parts Factory store.

Everything went smoothly  - communication with the store was good. They shipped my order with DHL to Montenegro, and I ended up paying taxes as expected. Installation on the bike went well, and I updated the group via the app without any problems. It seems to be genuine stuff and works perfectly. 8) ;) :)

How much did you have to pay for taxes?
I’m awaiting my order to Croatia :)

Just ordered full Ultegra Di2 groupset for 960 EUR from Yiwu Donglue. I think this is a great price comparing to EU market.
Ill see if i have to pay additional custom when it gets here. Price between this and 105 is so close so no point in getting 105 and buying aftermarket cranks to make it lighter.

Frame is on the way so I didnt want to wait for 11/11   ;D

I’m planning to buy either 105 or Ultegra di2 for my build, and I find prices  on Ali express really tempting. However I don’t usually shop on Ali so I don’t know what to expect for 11/11, do you think the prices will be even lower for said groupsets? Thank you.

Just placed an order for LTK268. Ultimately i like the look of this  frame  more.  Also as you said, geometry is more manageable.

I'm planning my first build, and the first frameset I considered was LTK268-D. After reading this topic, I'm having second thoughts. Is 268 dated compared to this frame?

I don't mind the price difference between the two, and according to this thread QC is great.
