Great input! I don't plan to get rid of my endurance road bike, I just feel like the GR201 will be more playful (feel faster). The bike will never be my issue if I tried to ride with a local fast group.

Pantone 5195C. As far as I know this is the same color as the Dusty Merlot color used by State Bicycle Co.

Has anyone ran narrower road tires on their GR201 for road rides? I have a Domane for road riding but it feels so sluggish (the engine accepts most of the blame here) and the GR201 feels way more lively even with big tires so I was thinking of picking up a narrower set of wheels and running 28c/30c tires for an occasional fast road ride. I'm currently running 9VELO GV2.0 wheels with 48c Tufo Thunderos.

I just put the same 700x55 fenders on my LT GV201 running 48c Thunderos. It's tedious, but worth it. For the seat stay bridge I used the Specialized fender bridge part #S182200001 that clamps around the seattube.

I wish I had read the replies that followed this info from Tantan. I cracked my Cane Creek eeSilk+ carbon suspension seatpost taking the clamp torque to 8nm. Bummer. I suppose it can cost a lot to learn.

I'm thinking about a wide range 2X setup using Shimano Cues, but the Cues brakes apparently are designed to only work with 160mm rotors and the frame is for 140mm rotors. Usually a brake set comes with  a mount plate that can adapt to either but the Cues does not come with that adapter and I'm not sure if those are standardized or unique to the frame and/or brakes.

The flat mount 140 to 160 adapters are standard. 160mm works on this frame perfectly.
