If you don't mind answering, how does Chaoyang tier their tires? They also have the Arisun, which I believe to be a high performance tire that tiers above the Merlin/Cobra.

$300 more expensive? QP doesnt charge shipping or a service fee. Not sure where you are but with a 5% discount code on qpusa, theyre the same price. What turned me away from this frame vs an er:one was the crazy high shipping and service fee... tacked on an extra $350 to the frameset price.

Yeah they gave you the torque spec for the V1... pretty poor on their part.

It's a Ostro v2 replica, you should've used Factor's recommended torque setting of 3-4 nm since it is the same system.

How isn't it? Chinese halo products cost the same. UR:ONE, SLC5, Spear RDC, etc. This is not trying to compete with LightCarbon pricing. This is a western brand competing with western pricing.

Saw this new frame from Oak pop up on my feed and thought it looked pretty competitive for the price. As we know, the Twilight is an open mold design from Adapt and is also the Tavelo Arow. However, this is a pretty radical shift from that, so I am not sure who is making these and if anyone has info on that. Thought I would open a topic and gather some thoughts about it while it is still up for pre-order.

• $2899
• Sub 1kg frame
• Full ti bolts and SLT headset
• Progressive/High stack aero geometry
• Clearance for 38c
• Western QC and after sales support
• Promised white paper by the end of the year

Of course it's too early to get excited since it only looks fast, but it seems pretty promising if the results are comparable to a QP.

Wow this is some excellent info if true. I bet my replica frame doesn't have a hint of Torayca in it then. 😅 Is there any downside to the Chinese brands of carbon fiber versus Mitsubishi and Toray?

The more that gets released about this frame, the worse it looks. What an odd direction for Tavelo to go in. We were all led to believe this is shaping up to be something new and progressive when it's just the Arow 2 from the looks of things.

I found this spacing to be correct for the ceramicspeed t47a. However for the official sram dub bb, they have their own chart for spacers.

Getting the spacing correct can be a PITA. different manufacturers require different amounts of spacers. Would be best to just replace the BB with a regular sram one and go off their chart.

Yeah man, you were always supposed to use the same spacer setup as a real factor. They use the same bb(t47a). You have been riding the bike the entire time without any spacers?  ???

Try their Argo copy, the K03. After I tried my friend's Argo, I couldn't go back so I went and picked this up. I came from a selle italia slr 3d carbon and would get perineal numbness no matter what. The padding on the K03/Argo is so much softer than my selle italia.

Just get lower teeth ratchets and pack with grease. You can find legit 18t dt swiss ratchets for cheap because they're old and undesirable.

Just run 30s and they will blow out to 32. I have LB Airia 52s and they are all what you asked for minus brass ripples and ano hub. Came out to 1180 grams. The brass nipples are going to bring that weight up a bit though.
