Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Sodce Alloy Gravel Frameset
« on: November 06, 2025, 02:59:20 PM »
Thanks for the video! This is probably the nicest alloy gravel frame available on AliExpress. It almost hits all the checkboxes if it wasn't for the alloy seat post.  ;D I almost bought one for the price, but I already have more gravel frames than I need!

Hey, Jonathan!

I totally agree with you on the SODCE R3. For the price, the aesthetics, material, and geometry make it a great choice for anyone wanting to build a new gravel bike. I currently own a Canyon Inflite AL, and the geometry between both is very similar, with minor differences in the headtube and chainstay. I plan to have it completely built before the start of next year's gravel season.

I already purchased a Toseek (TKR02) handlebar, and my next purchase will probably be a carbon wheelset from Elitewheels (X-Ent Disc).

Stay tuned for a build update in the near future.

Hello, Chintertown!

This is my first time on this forum. I found it after doing some research on a gravel frame that I purchased on AliExpress—SODCE R3. Although I didn't check pages on Reddit, this forum was the only one I found that briefly discussed this frame. I understand this thread is from last year, so I quickly wanted to share a surface-level review of my new SODCE frameset that I uploaded to YouTube. I hope this information is helpful for anyone interested in purchasing the same frameset.

I would like to note the following: The SODCE frameset comes with a "special" seatpost, which is made of aluminum, and according to the company is special to the frame. I didn't know this until the frameset arrived. However, after messaging them through AliExpress, I learned that they in fact do know of another manufacturer that has a mold and can produce a carbon version of their seatpost. I am currently waiting to hear back from them with a quote, and I will update this post soon.

Here's the video I mentioned: https://youtu.be/Pec_pjWpQ8E?si=qreRpmOquxVNTOgc

Thank you.
