First time poster, long time lurker. Multiple-time Chinese bike owner since around 2009.

Thank you PeterXu and Requiem84 for the information about this frame, I'll be following with interest and look forward to seeing the results of your wind tunnel testing. I will be looking to replace my rim brake aero road bike (2016 Felt AR3) in the next year or two - I'll be looking for a relatively lightweight aero frame (~1000g, L/XL sizing) with a reach of around 395-410, relatively tall stack (580-600) and steep seat tube angle (74-75 deg) with zero-offset post. The new XMCS aero frame appears to fit the bill.

I enjoyed bsharp77's factory tour video, and was interested in the vertical carbon 'spine' in the top tube and down tube. I wonder if PeterXu or Requiem84 could provide some additional insight into this design feature. One thing I particularly dislike about my Felt is how horrendously stiff/harsh the ride is. Part of this is due to the max tyre width of 25mm, but it's by far the stiffest bike I've ever ridden (even stiffer than my Specialized Shiv Tri, which has enormous tubes), and is frankly torturous to ride on bumpy roads beyond about 90mins. The split seatpost does nothing!

As such, I'd be looking for a bike with a little more vertical compliance than this, and I am wondering what effect a vertical carbon wall in the middle of the tube is going to have on the ride of the new XMCS frame. Perhaps the thin seatstays provide some additional compliance to compensate for a stiff front triangle? In any case, grateful for any insights.
