They just forgot to remove some of the paint from the inside, it shouldn't be inside the frame.

It's definitely more than just some paint from the inside. I had to sand it for a good 20min with 80 grain sandpaper just to get the seatpost to fit in the frame. I had to remove quite a bit of material and the problem wasn't actually right at the top but it was after the clamp so a good 3-5cm in the frame.

Anyway in the end I got it to work and Spcycle agreed to send me a new carbon seatpost since mine was ruined, but in a perfect world it shouldn't happen.

Hopefully everything else is going to go smoothly  ::)

What do you mean by "has no visible carbon anymore". Its all carbon. I would say this is fine.

I meant in the second to last picture you can see some white material and not the carbon pattern anymore. I assumed it wasn't the carbon layer but something else but I have no idea.

The QC is indeed really bad. I bought a G026 last November from them and everything was fine so I assumed it would be the same.  :-X

Hello everyone,

I got my G028 frame a week ago and today when I tried to put a seatpost in I encountered a problem. The seatpost couldn't go down the seat tube because the hole was too narrow.

I reached out to Spcycle (who responded almost immediately) and they told me to sand it down to help the seatpost go down. Problem is after a bit of sanding the hole was still too narrow. They suggested to sand it heavily as this area is really sturdy and there is a lot of material. After quite a lot of sanding with a coarse sandpaper I got the seatpost to fit (still really tight). But now one of the area I sanded has no visible carbon anymore (see pics).

What's your suggestion ? Is it ok or not ? Spcycle told me to use the frame with confidence but I rather have some other opinions.

Thanks for your help.

I pulled the trigger and ordered FM316.
I liked CJ's bike so much that I ordered the same color (sorry CJ!  ::))

Hi there, I just ordered this frame from Spcycle and I’m trying to decide the color.

Does anyone know what’s the name of the base color (better yet the RAL number) presented on the mondince website. That’s probably the same color as CJ’s and d.m.’s. ?

Thanks for your help.
