Have your latest replacements for the down-tube compartment cover for free, just dm your respective sales rep. Mine already on its way.

Jim sent me this and i need to inform Chloe that this is what i need for me to fix the problem in my frame storage. Chloe sometimes takes several days to respond. Jim whatsApp is very responsive but he told me to coordinate it to the representative who catered my frame order process.

Yes V3 looks like it works with gravity which is a relief.
I’ve put loctite on the v2 bolt which makes a big difference, also foam on the top edge makes a big difference too - although as it compresses over time the looseness will come back, so the bolt is the  priority.

It definitely should be sorted before leaving the factory now - email to make sure as the v3 requires removing the currently riveted holder at the top and replacing it - Carol sent me a photo of the revised plate. She will send me one after I said I’ll have a go at re-riveting it myself.

In terms of service and quality, I’ve had bigger problems with much bigger brands. Fair play to Light Carbon for actually following up and revising designs and trying to solve problems - they don’t ghost you, so a big thumbs up. Considering the price,l and the newness of the frame, you’ve got to give them some leeway here. Don’t come in expecting western service levels on a bike at a quarter of the price it probably would be if you were paying like for like here (I’m looking at you Cervelo Caledonia).

I would have no hesitation in ordering from them again, and in fact I’m 99% certain to put a preorder in for the LCR020 as soon as details are released.

Such a pain hearing rattle coming from the storage cover while on the bike, anyone having this v3 cover can you send some pictures i want to order and change what i have now 😑

This is the first mention of a new updated seatpost I've come across. It doesn't look different to me. What leads you to think there's a new updated seatpost, or that this is it?

I just compare my seatpost to this posted seatpost here before look the difference.

5
Is this the new updated seat-post that will prevent slippage?

Heads up for anyone following the LCR018-D thread. Trace Velo just released a video featuring the LightCarbon LCR018-D frameset.

Looks like he’ll also be doing a full build and a follow-up video later on :)

Trace Velo video on the LCR018-D

Nice in the video that LC is offering a partial refund or replacement if you find something wrong with the frame QC. He reported right away to LC and they did a meeting to double the effort of Quality Control to prevent it from happening again.

I replaced mine for titanium bolts - not to save 2g (although that's nice!), but because I think titanium is less likely to round off. I got them from AliExpress. I went for hex key heads so I can use the 'ball' end of the allen key to tighten up 95% of the way and then fully torque with the proper end. Not using a torque wrench here to avoid damage to the seatpost.

What is the size of the bolt for replacement? I think i need to order

My frame is ready to ship next week, paid invoice DEC 15 2025.
Cause of delays are Chinese New Year and Out of Stock Zero Offset Seat-post.
Requested installation of top tube holes but not the most appealing looks in compare to other brands, i will rate it 7/10 and its free of charge anyways.

The frame is pretty stiff during sprints, but the seatpost is creaking (or maybe the saddle? Not sure yet). The seatpost is installed with carbon paste and tightened to 9 Nm.

Waiting for my frame, and what is the best solution for this? Looks like you are not the only one experiencing this one.

Yeah...no.

If this is my bike, LC makes this right. No "hack or bodge" for a brand new frame and proprietary seatpost.

I'm planning to order a LCR018-D as a frame upgrade for an existing road bike as soon as SRAM Force E1 Exchange Kits become available at the end of March. That gives me time to decide not to do this, and I'm paying close attention to LC QC and customer support.

Looks like a problem in QC for that specific order, but if some finished orders also experiencing that particular problem and this is the time everybody should worry.

Frame is ready size 50, but no available zero offset seat post as of the moment and its Chinese NewYear so maybe mid march all things are prepared for shipping.

I am about to pull the trigger but and going back and forth between the 56 and the 58.  I have a velobuild 168 in the 58 and I had to use a 90cm stem and feel a little stretched out.  Looking at the geometry the LC in 58 is about the same (9mm reach difference) but higher stack (about 25mm). The 56 is kind of the opposite oddly enough with a close stack height (6mm difference higher) to the 168 but bigger difference in reach (16mm shorter)

I’m 187cm with 86cm inseam.

That said, my flexibility is kinda crap in that I cannot touch my toes. I have the gravel Planet X Tempest in L with an 100mm stem and feels good.  The LC in 56 is damn near the same stack and reach.  The LC in 58 is pretty much the same reach but has an 18mm higher stack.

So, for an endurance bike I’m not sure which is the right option.  Open to hearing opinions.

Imo you should pick the size 54, im 174cm but i picked the size 50 and there still lot of room for the seat post adjustment to raise.

Can a made to order bag with a length of 11” fit inside the frame storage? I have this Topeak pump Roadie Dax 10.3” in length never fails me so i need to carry it during rides still using TPU tubes. Thanks

does anyone else spotted those two frames, ( clearly,De Rosa and Colnago) on the latest video from Lightcarbon costume paint?
maybe an external factory where other brands are painted as well?

I requested before that if they can change some of the color of the frame from what i ordered, the reply is they can’t because it will cost them to pay because the paint bidding is already done. But still it’s changeable and you need to pay again fees. To answer your question IMO the paint is outsourced and they can paint any frames from different clients.

My frame is ready and already painted, but they told me that the straight seat posts are out of stock. What are the alternatives? Do i need to shorten drop-bar stem length to compensate so that they can ship my order right away?
