Ordered the aliexpress yoke a couple months ago.

Finally found a fresh RockShox Monarch RT3 in 200x51 shock few days ago it was even local!

Mounted it up and pumped it to my body weight pounds in psi and went for a spin.

It’s definitely more plush than the brain system.

It’s quieter than the brain shock.

Reaching down to flip the lockout switch is a drag.

But it’s lighter and rides nicer.

Will probably throw my race day 2 charger back into the fork now as well.

Photo of the monarch shock and AliEx linkage in a SMALL 2018-2020 specialized epic carbon frame for reference.

I have a similar vintage Specailized Camber.  Bike Yoke lists the adapter as a different part number (Camber vs Epic), but looks nearly identical. Would you be able to take some measurements of the part you bought? Would be nice not to spend $140 if the Ali version would work.  Thanks

Dual recording with the Geoid compared to a Kickr Core 2.  Looks pretty clean.  Happy with the two Magene 505s I have.  Got this one to fit a new bike with a T47.

Wait, they are interchangeable with Shimano's preload bolt? if they are compatible the only thing i can see go wrong is the fact that for Magene you are supposed to torque the bolt to over 10Nm

Yeap.  I put some blue loctite on the single bolt threads and haven't had an issue on either of my bikes with a 505.  I won't speak for anybody else, bit I'm not sure how you wouldn't feel a loose crank arm before it falls off.

Managed to cross thread the big aluminum retaining bolt. Anyone knows how could get one easy/cheap from inside the  EU?

I was in a similar situation.  Put in a plastic shimano "bolt".  No issues with it at all

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Shimano R7170 tuning

Trying to set up and tune a new bike (ICAN A23). I can shift fine when the groupset isn’t connected to Shimano's e-tune app.  Once I connect, neither shifter does anything.  Haven’t had di2 before, but sounds like it should be able to shift when connected.  Any ideas??

Firmware is up to date.  Tried on iPhone and android.

r7170 105 DI2 groupset is from Ali

Could ride the bike as-is, but wanted to tune the shifting before the maiden voyage.  Thanks!

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Magene P505 & T47 Clearance

Building an ICAN A23 - internal T47.  With a 1mm spindle spacer, the P505 clears the BB with a little gap.  Should it be okay like this or should I look at the P515?  Using 105 Di2, not sure how much adjustment there is if the chainring moves outboard 1mm.

First bike build and first time using Di2.  Thanks

When I looked at their store, it wasn’t listed so i messaged them.  Their response was confusing.

I just get hesitant ordering parts with few reviews and misspelling on the product

Component Deals & Selection / 130mm -17deg integrated stem options

About to receive an ICAN A23 frame (FSA no55 style headset).  Looking for a 130mm, -17deg stem, to get a similar fit to my Allez Sprint.

Looking at this one.  Balugoe said they don't make a 130mm version, but then said it is authentic... 🤷

Only goes up to 120mm, but could work

ZTTO.  130mm option, at -7deg, would probably have to slam the stem

Light carbon has the HBR17 in 360x130mm, but with a -7deg and a 8mm raise, it would put the bars a bit higher than I'd prefer.

Any other options to look at?  May go semi integrated so I have more stem options.
