Almost 3000km now on the fm316. Frame geometry is amazing. I don't really understand why traditional geometry is even done anymore. All my road bikes will probably need replacing too...

The only annoying thing is the slightly small tire clearance. I hope this frame gets updated. FM366 geo is not ok. Short reach and 72.5deg seatpost angle.

But there are no other like fm316 now. Maybe new ridley, but it will be expensive.
And that incorrect 144mm rear has been fixed in newer models.

I am really happy with the bike.

Niner rlt rdo9 2017. Small size.
Now i have +50mm reach on frame...

I just move the saddle forward and keep the stem about the same as the old one.
75deg saddle angle is what you need.

There are small marks on the chainstay. Very muddy condition. I just put some tape there.
2.1" thunderburt and 25id is max.

First gravell race done and +1500km ridden. Very good. The geometry feels safe in fast speed and on poor surfaces.
25id and 2.1" thunderburt. Have to check if there are any marks from the tire hitting the chainstay.

Fm316, M-size. 120mm stem. 178cm. Feels a little short, but is stable to handle.
Long reach geo is WINNER!

I really hate how the bike handles and I'm tempted to order a shorter fork from Mondince but I'm not sure that it's going to solve it since I don't know what's causing it

Maybe trail? I don't know anything those things, but when I moved the axle to the rear position, the bike's steering immediately calmed down.

I have now ridden a little over 500km on the FM316. Short fork and axle in rear position. Thunder burts.
Steering feel is very good. Low and fast speed.

The aero posotion is awesome. Pedaling just feels good.
And that spcycle handlebar is good. Good support for the forearms.

The only problem I see with the frame is the 144mm rear spacing. It hasn't affected the ride in any way, but I would like this to be fixed in the future.
The frame otherwise feels high quality.

And now the steering is fine. I moved the front axle to the rear position using the flipchip.

Do not think about fm316 long reach. Just move the saddle forward and use the normal stem length. Geometry is excelent.

This bike is stupidly fast to handle. Like a cross bike. Have to test more. And those burts are faaaaast.
If I could choose again, I would take the 130mm reach to handlebar. But now I'm moving the saddle a little back. 40mm setback will be ok.

178cm and 76cm saddle height. FM316 size M.
Spcycle HB-068 120mm handlebar.

25id wr50 and 29x2.1 burt. 3-4mm clearance. Ok for me.

Maybe littlebit shimming to left side. There is more space on the non-drive side.

46t chainring.

Mäybe 48 or 50t with dub wide/grx. There's plenty of room with a 46t chainring. I'm pretty sure 46t will fit with road cranks too

I bought a wolf's BB. I don't know a better sealed bottom bracket for the t47 standard.
I've also destroyed three Sram dub bottom brackets on my mountain bike within a year.

The frame thread was slightly on the upper limit and the wolf's slightly on the lower limit.
I don't blame either one. This is a t47 problem. The thread only has a pitch of one millimeter and the diameter is quite large.

But anyway, there was clearly too much clearance. Wolf advised using Teflon tape and it really works.
Teflon tape also seals the thread.

Flip Chip is now more up and down direccion. What is real a-c and stack?

Edit: And that looks like a mtb fork. I prefer fm316 fork and geometry.

I'm just waiting for spring and test ride. Saddle setback is 25mm and stack/reach is still like a roadbike.

Teflon tape and grease work really well with the T47 bottom bracket. Removes unnecessary play from the thread.

Seatpost rail clamp system. That looks really good. Like i ritcheys.

That post clamp is pretty common on aero bikes. I lost one of my systemsix and almost ordered a new one :)
