Hello !

After a big ride my routine bag has rubbed the coat of the frame. Do you know if there is a mean to make it better ?

Ok I've added a 0,7mm spacer and checked the potential bending of the headset and now everything's good. Thanks for your help guys !

Thank you for your answers. I didn't put any small internal spacer but there is one of 0,7mm included with the frame. I wanted to try without it as some others did but I will add mine to the headset.

Maintenance, Mechanics, & Tools / Upper headset gap

Hi,

I have a question about the upper headset gap.

Mine is almost close to nothing, I can't even put a sheet of paper from the front of it. But it turns well on the right and left.

Is it better to have a small gap or could it stay line this (see the photo)?

I have a LCR 018 frame

Thank you for your help !

Sam

Hello,

Does anybody know if this expander cold be mounted on the LCR018 ?

7
Hey,

Maybe a stupid question but why do you need that ? Thanks

Hello, it's just because I've cut the tube a bit too thick and I'd prefer to put a thinner top expander than cutting the tube again with only 1/2mm to cut off.

Hi,

I'm looking for an expander with a thinner top than the one from LC which is 3mm thick. POTO did send a link to a specialized one but the product is not available anymore. Does anybody know an expander that could  suit the bike with a thinner top ? Thank you !

Stop tightening to 6mn 🤦 it doesn’t need to be that tight.
Either everything is compressing - as it should, or it’s pulling the compression plug upwards with the stupid high torque.

Ok I'll do it now but I'm on Holliday's and i'dont have the torque for the expander in mind. Is it 10nw?

No, the steerer wasn’t cut short enough. Or change to a different compression plus with a lower stack (the metal rim at the top is a few mm thick. Others are 1mm thick and might address this)

Ok, when I start to torque the top cap everything's good and the compression plus is under the top cap  when I've finished to torque it to 6newton it's like on the photo.

Hi !

As you are talking about headset, mine has a little gap above the stem. Is it normal ?

12
Hello,

I've built my bike with a 105 mechanical groupset and as your are talking about spacers with the BB, mine didn't come with any spacers and I've built it this way. Am I missing something?

13
Hello !

I'm going to start my build soon and I've received the little piece of paper to show how much to torque the différents parts but I'm wondering if there is a better notice with full and more detailed instructions ?

14
Yes, direct-mount and braze-on are the same thing. Good luck with your build!

Thank you !

Hello,

After placing an order for this frame I'm now looking for the differents parts to buy to built it. I have an issu about the front derailleur. So I'm going for a 105 or GRX one (it depend on the chain set i'll choose) and I can find only brand one. I've read that it must be a direct mount derailleur but my question is are the brazed one and direct mount one are actually sames ?

Thanks to all !
