« on: January 05, 2026, 02:07:23 PM »Nice build. Congrats on your new bike. I was considering this frame from Airwolf when I built my XC bike last year, however, their reputation (or lack thereof) scared me off. Your post gained my interest again. Questions:
- What shock is that? You said you sourced it from an authorized Specialized dealer, does it mean it’s Specialized Rockshox’s ?
- Cost including shock? (you said less than $900 shipped)
Hey, here is all the information (see pictures attached).
The shock is original, yes.
It was discounted for me because we are friends (500 instead of ~650).
Just the frame was 900, without the shock.

I know - I was too excited to share the pictures, not focused on making them photo-perfect. 😉
The lens is great, it’s a Sigma 85mm f/1.4.
Close your eyes and imagine there’s no chromatic aberration! 😄

During assembly, just tighten all bolts to spec - that’s all.
The bike is easy to build on this frame.

I’m absolutely thrilled with this build - it’s exactly what I’ve always wanted.
It’s a full suspension that feels like a hardtail when you stand up and hammer on the pedals: no bob, no squish, just pure drive like you’re grinding up a climb on a rigid bike. But as soon as you hit bumps or rough terrain, the suspension kicks in and smooths everything out perfectly. It’s the best of both worlds.
Right now, it’s still too cold here to dial in the shock properly, but I believe it’s running in its softest setting-the air pressure is quite low.
I actually spoke with a contact who works with several of these Chinese frame brands. Turns out that whether it’s sold as Airwolf, XFRRYbike, or another name, they’re all made in the same factory. I went with XFRRYbike because they could source the shock and - importantly - their paint quality is spot-on. Really clean finish, no issues at all.

Hey everyone!
My name’s Anatoly. I just wanted to share my build based on a Epic WC frame - nothing fancy, but it’s coming together nicely.
All the components are visible in the photos. Total weight with pedals and bottle cages is 20.3 lbs. The stock shock fits like it was made for it - no issues at all.
So far I’ve put in 100+ miles, mostly local rides. Really looking forward to hitting real MTB trails once the weather warms up!
