I'm also experiencing speed wobble / frame shimmy. It only happens at speeds over 45 km/h, and the bike feels unstable whether I'm riding on the hoods or in the drops.

In my opinion, some of you are confusing brand fascination with what is actually happening. Extending a shipping lead time from one month to three or four has absolutely nothing to do with buying a 'premium' or 'custom' product. It’s a clear sign that something went wrong. It looks like LightCarbon (LC) simply decided to prioritize larger orders without bothering to inform individual customers who had already paid.

What’s even worse is the inconsistency. On one hand, people point to the custom paint as an excuse, but on the other, LC claims the delay is due to a handlebar shortage. If a simple handlebar size is holding up an entire frame delivery for months, it makes LC look even more disorganized. How many orders do you have to overbook to turn a 4-week estimate into 16 weeks?

As others have mentioned, the lack of proactive communication is incredibly frustrating. You don't get any info unless you go looking for it. At the same time, there is no option to cancel the order or receive a discount for the massive delay.

At the end of the day, 'great quality' or 'custom paint' means nothing to me if I can't actually ride the bike. I am about to leave for a two-month trip on my old bike. As things stand, I won't see the LC frame until July at the earliest, even if they were to ship it tomorrow. This isn't a premium experience—it's a logistics failure.

Well, i suppose they prefer oem or mass orders above one piece....the bike has hit some fairs and oem orders seem to be high.....but i agree, ordering january should be early enough to have the bike built and be ready when spring hits
I don’t think it’s my concern what or to whom they sell. When I placed my order, I was given a lead time that they significantly failed to meet. Had I known this from the start, I would never have ordered from them.

I wanted to share my experience for those considering a frame from LightCarbon. If you are planning to order, I strongly suggest you double-check and insist on getting a realistic lead time before paying.

Here is my timeline so far:
Order placed: January.
Initial shipping estimate: End of February.
First delay: Pushed to the end of March.
Current status: It is now late April, and the frame still hasn't been shipped.

While the frame itself is finally painted, they now claim they don't have the handlebars in my size. It’s been a cycle of constant delays and moving targets.

It seems LightCarbon is currently overwhelmed by demand and, unfortunately, they are not handling it well—especially when it comes to being transparent with customers about actual production and shipping dates.

There is something seriously wrong if that’s the case.

Why? Aside from the difference between the bikes, I didn't establish any other common variables. I’m tall and heavy (125kg), but at the same time, I put out quite a bit of power (350W@1h). Depending on the day, I might not even feel much of a difference in intensity when riding the same route at 200W versus 260W average power. It’s very subjective. In my opinion, any comparison of frames or bikes only makes sense on the same route, on the same day, at the same power, and for the same person. And it needs to be repeated multiple times. From day to day, or even within the same day, the wind can change direction and skew the results.

I’ll just add that what I wrote regarding the times on different bikes is the truth. These results were collected over many years, during which both my weight and power output fluctuated. On the enduro bike, I have fairly fast tires, a locked-out suspension, and I usually ride in an 'aero' position (tucked in, holding the bars right by the stem).

Best average ive ever had on the Aeroad was 32.2km/hr.
Today on the LCR018-D I averaged 32.1km/hr.

mes), but for what is an incredible endurance bike is, it is no slouch!

Do you have any power data from those rides? I’ve got road segments with over 100 efforts on them, and for a lot of them, the difference between my 8kg road bike and 15kg enduro rig is only about a dozen seconds🙃

I’m having the same issue. I ordered my frame in January, and it was supposed to be shipped before or right after Chinese New Year. Now they’re saying mid-May. It’s a massive delay, and they don’t even inform you proactively—you have to email them yourself to find out

I bit the bullet and confirmed my order this morning.  I was told it should be 2-4 weeks.  Now I sit *patiently* and wait for them to send me pictures of the painted frame.  Nervous but excited at the same time.

I placed my order in mid-January. They said it would be shipped before Chinese New Year or in early March. This week, I asked for an update on the shipping date and they replied that the frame would be ready at the end of April... so I find it hard to believe your 2-4 weeks.

are there any other comparable of the shelf bikes in terms of geo? i want it to fit like a glove and therefore hopefully ride some bikes which specs i could transfer to the lcr018d and build it up.

LightCarbon LCR018D       580    387   72.5°  73.7°  415  77
Cervelo Caledonia.             580    387   72°    73°    415  74
BMC Roadmachine            586    390   72°    74.2°  410  71
Giant Defy Advanced         577    384   72°    73.5°  420  75
Trek Domane Gen4            591    386   71.9°  73.5°  420  78

Please note that the number of spacers under the steam can significantly change the character of the frame. The reference values apply to the absence of spacers. Without spacers, Lightcarbon actually has a stack of +16 mm (8 mm spacer under the steam and 8 mm rise on the handlebars).

It's a difficult decision... if anyone has more examples of colours i listed feel free to share! would be greatly appreciated
.
The British Racing Green color from the lightcarbon palette is a pearl color. Below is a photo of the frame in this color.

As for samples of other colors, I recommend using Chat GPT or Gemini. Attach a photo and add a query such as "change the color of the frame and fork to (color here). Include a verbal description of the color, with the Pantone and hex ID)". Below are a few examples of generated photos (reference photos borrowed from this thread).
