Resolved 2 of the negatives... ran into another, but that's a squeeking BigRock crank issue so I won't bother you guys with it here.

I experienced this same issue with the saddle tilt on a recent ride. About 8 miles in, hit a bump, heard a creak from the saddle and thought I cracked a rail.  I did not, but the saddle was tilted and there was no using a multi-tool to get it unscrewed and put back in place correctly.  I was able to get it back to level enough by shifting my weight around as well, but it never stayed level.  All this moving around locked the screws in so tight, I stripped the heads trying to get them off.   That made for a fun time getting them out.  I had to resort to penetrating oil and lightly hammering in the hex wrench to get the screws loose.

I just pulled it all apart earlier this week, replaced the bolts with titanium M5x25mm hex head bolts and put it all back together again and torqued it to 8nm.   We shall see if it holds.

I'm still looking for any recommendation of a titanium seat post bolt if anyone has one that works for them.  The standard one has a soft head and I'm afraid it's going to get stripped.

Having said that, I do really enjoy riding the bike.  It's comfortable, relatively light, agile, and is responsive to accelerating.  Just a few small quirks to be worked out.

Seatpost Clamp Replacement Screw....

Does anyone have a link they can share to a titanium replacement screw for the seatpost clamp?
Mine seems to be very soft and I want to avoid stripping it.

Apologies if it's in this thread and I could not find it.

How has dealing with lightcarbon been to you guys? This isn't my first rodeo with direct chinese sellers but i'm getting a little frustrated. they tend to ignore half my questions and repeat themselves when i ask something else.

I've had a very good experience with them thus far.
All communication has been with Jim Lee via Whatsapp.
He is responsive, informative, and helpful.

Saddle Clamp angle slipping issue....

For some reason I'm getting continuous slipping of the saddle angle, and when the LC SD01 saddle slides back on the 15mm offset seat post, it makes it very difficult to get a hex wrench in there without damaging the seatpost paint and carbon.

Perhaps I am doing something wrong.  I did not use carbon paste and have read that it should not be used here.   I have not used any grease either.

The seatpost itself is not slipping down the frame, and the saddle clamp is not sliding on the saddle rails.
It's the saddle angle that is sliding and moving it backwards which is also reducing the space between the hex head and the seat post.

When it slides, it also tightens up the bolt to the point where I am stripping the head to loosen.  I am using Park Tool hex wrenches FWIW (just noting that low quality tools are not being used).

Have others experienced this and if so, how did you resolve it?

can you share your height and inner leg? I am 172 and inner leg 80cm and wonder 50 or 52 will fit better

I also debated between size 50 and 52 and am glad I went with the 50.
The standover height was a major factor given my shorter inseam.

Height 170.2 cm
Inseam 76.0 cm

Bike config:
Spacers under the handlebar - 40mm
Seat tube trimmed - 38mm
Crank arm length - 160mm
Handlebar stem length - 90mm
Seat post offset - 15 mm

The fit feels very natural. I was expecting to have to play with things more, but the amount of tweaking to be done is minimal.

I have an extra seat post with zero offset and also another handlebar with 100 mm stem.
I will play with these over time to see what feels best.

Hope this helps.

Fellow transition owner.  Have a Patrol mk1, a suppressor and a mk1 scout.

Nice!   I'm loving the poppy, playful ride of a coil shock equipped Smuggler.

I keep wondering when we are going to see a better selection of carbon fiber trail bike frames from the Chinese direct to consumer manufacturers.

120-130 rear travel with 130-140 front travel with chainstay length around 430-435.   It would be great to see a DW link suspension now that the patent has run out.

Getting off topic here, however.  This is better for another thread.

Ordered in mid-February and received in mid-May.
Size 50
Just got it put together with SRAM Force AXS XPLR (1x13) groupset, and using LightCarbon Rims NRD28-450C (28mm outer width (21mm inner width) w/ undulating 45- 50mm height) and 32mm Conti GP 5000 S TR tires.

Well yes, I have seen people mention it, but I haven't seen an exact answer for where it actually goes.

So do I place the upper headset bearing, then the spacer? Or does it go after the spacer that routes the brake hoses?

Was there a response to this question I missed, and if so, what is the link to it?
I have searched the forum and also have this question as to where this spacer is intended to be placed.

Why are you using a wide crank ? You can use the road version and have a nicer chain line.
I know nothing about the LC bottom brackets. I’m not sure why people are buying these over a regular SRAM T47 which works with a more common tool.

I'm still learning here.

When I was putting this together I thought the Force E1 1x13 system requires a DUB Wide crank (longer spindle) to achieve the required 47.5mm chainline and using spacers on both sides would work.

I am now questioning this, thus my posting to the group.

I purchased the CEMA bearing because it seemed like a decent quality product for the price that LC was making them available.  I'm open to purchasing something else if that would work better.  I already have the tooling for installing the CEMA BB.

I have the LCR018-D currently in shipment.  It was sent out last week and I ordered in mid February, FWIW.
I also ordered the upgraded CEMA T47 Bottom bracket with ceramic bearings in size 85.5-28.99 for DUB.

The following is a Noob inquiry to tap the group's expertise on SRAM Crankshafts, chainline and bottom brackets.

I plan to use the SRAM Force XPLR AXS 1x13 drivetrain with the following components:
SRAM Cassette XG-1371 XPLR E1 13 Speed 10-46 (part number 00.2418.160.000)
SRAM Force XPLR AXS Rear Derailleur, Black, 13 Speed E1 (part number 00.7518.193.000)
SRAM Force 1 XPLR Power Meter Crankset, Black, 12/13 Speed, DUB Wide, 160mm, 42T, E1 (part number 00.6118.737.000)

In essence, the entire group set will be SRAM Force AXS E1.

The questions I have are related to the bottom bracket spacing.
The SRAM Force E1 cranksets are DUB Wide.
The CEMA bottom bracket from LC is a DUB bottom bracket.

Will this combination work and keep the chainline in proper position?
Will spacers suffice to keep the chainline aligned?
Do I need to purchase a DUB Wide bottom bracket, and if so, what is suggested?

I wanted to share my experience for those considering a frame from LightCarbon. If you are planning to order, I strongly suggest you double-check and insist on getting a realistic lead time before paying.

Here is my timeline so far:
Order placed: January.
Initial shipping estimate: End of February.
First delay: Pushed to the end of March.
Current status: It is now late April, and the frame still hasn't been shipped.

While the frame itself is finally painted, they now claim they don't have the handlebars in my size. It’s been a cycle of constant delays and moving targets.

It seems LightCarbon is currently overwhelmed by demand and, unfortunately, they are not handling it well—especially when it comes to being transparent with customers about actual production and shipping dates.

I experienced a similar issue but ordered in mid-February.  The handlebars also delayed my shipment, but I worked with Jim to order an additional handlebar that was close in size to what I ordered in order to have the shipment sent out this week (I hope). Then I'll get the other handlebars I originally ordered later and will have to remove the temporary bars and install and wrap the new bars.

Of course, I paid for the extra handlebar and shipping, but that was expected.  It was a means to get the frame and wheels sent out sooner rather than wait another few weeks.

Just finalising my build, has anyone gone for the wheelset Jim recommended to me?
C52DB-RD923-45C-1423,
Inner width 23mm, should fit 30C-45C, I will likely run 32mm most of the time but nice to get the extra width. Not seen anyone really discuss them here, perhaps known under a different name? Option for Sapim spokes which I'll upgrade to if I go for it

I also worked with Jim on a wheelset and ended up purchasing the C53DB-URD28-450CRay-24H/24H-UD-M wheels.  They should be shipping later this week.
Description:
C53DB Disc 700C carbon CX/Gravel Clincher wheelset.

Hello,

Does anyone happen to have a photo of their LCR018-D frame/bike in glossy black? I’ve gone through almost all the pages of the thread, but the only black frames I’ve seen are either matte, raw carbon matte, or raw carbon glossy, but never glossy black.

Thanks in advance 🙂

I just received a picture of mine last week, which should be shipped out this week.

What is the exact ZTTO chain guide to order for this frame if using a SRAM 1x13 Force XPLR chainring

Imo you should pick the size 54, im 174cm but i picked the size 50 and there still lot of room for the seat post adjustment to raise.

What is your inseam where you selected the size 50?   Also did you select any seatpost offset and what length stem did you choose?
I'm pulling the trigger on the size 50 as well with 170.2 cm height and inseam of 76 cm.  I'm concerned however the stack won't be high enough relative to the size 52, but the standover on the 52 is a bit tight.
