We ride every week, and over the years we've ridden a lot of frames. At some point we got curious: could we build one ourselves?

So we're making a road frame, and we'll share how it goes along the way. The first prototype is being prepared. When we have something real to show, we'll update this thread.

If I were you, I'd definitely choose a wheelset with a lower brand premium; money doesn't grow on trees, after all, and I'd rather use the savings to buy other components.

Inner tubes are available on Amazon; however, since Tagoola may produce its own inner tubes in the future, it has largely stopped selling those from other brands, offering only a small number as complimentary gifts.

50mm is a bit deep for my mixed-road use, and 23mm inner width won't work for the wider tires I want. But yeah, Elitewheels seems solid for the price.

Looking for some wisdom from the community. I want to upgrade my wheels but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Here's the spec I'm after:
  45mm rim depth—I ride mixed terrain (mostly road, some rough patches)
30mm internal width—I want to run 32-35mm tires comfortably, not just 25-28mm,disc brake

  I've been riding 28mm tires on 21mm internal rims and I want more. More comfort, more grip, more versatility. I don't want to switch to a dedicated gravel bike — my rides are maybe 85% paved road, 15% rough/broken pavement.Every 45mm wheelset I find has 21-24mm internal width max. The "wide" options like Zipp 303S are only 23mm internal. I found some gravel wheels with 30mm internal (like the Tune Nano Gravel 45) but they're marketed as gravel wheels and some are really heavy.

  Is there a true 45mm + 30mm internal carbon road wheelset out there that doesn't weigh 1,500g+?

  Also — am I overthinking the internal width thing? Does 30mm internal actually make a noticeable difference vs 23mm for a road rider running 32mm tires?

Yes, that's the one. How did you get it for such a low price? Did you use some hidden coupon?

I bought a pair of 50mm rim depth Tagoola xplr tires and have ridden about 200-300 kilometers so far. They feel great and perform very stably on gravel roads.

Have you weighed it? Is this wheelset really only 1200g?
