Have you heard from Peter?  I am looking to get a couple of replaceable derailleur dropouts for my 197 fat bike frame.  I have emailed him as well as messaged him on Facebook but no response.

Light skin is what I used. Holding up pretty well.  I've been running 6.5 front and 8 back on dirt.  Maybe a pound higher if it's real rocky.

Quick update:

Bike weighed in at 23.2 final weight.
Raced it this past weekend and am very impressed with the whole bike. 

Bike is done.  Final weight is 23.25 lbs.  Using 4 oz of Stan's in the front and 5 in the back.  Just took it for a quick 5 mile ride on some local trails with about 2-3 inches of powder.  The bike feels incredibly stiff and fast.  Running 8psi in the front and 10 in the back.

Here is my build thread.  Goal was a relatively light weight fat bike I could ride anytime of the year here in New England, so here goes:

After some research I settled on the Carbonspeed 197.  I had emailed with Peter about frames and wheelsets and found him to be quite responsive.  So I ordered the frame, 029 fork, axles, headset and a 68mm carbon wheelset.  Everything arrived about 10 days after ordering.  I have to say I was very impressed with how well everything was packed.  Wheels came in their own box.  It took me a good 15 minutes just to removed the bubble wrap from the frame.  Everything looked great.  No blemishes.  Everything looks finished to a high degree.

Routing the shifter housing was a slight pain.  Definitely easiest back to front.  Those chainstays are narrow!  Brake line much easier.  Awaiting a stem before cutting the steerer tube.  Wt. 23.4lbs.

I just got my 68mm fat bike carbon wheelset from Carbonspeed today.  Literally just unboxed them.  They 'look' beautiful.  Can't see a single flaw.

Sleeves? Do you mean internal guide sleeves? There aren't any of those, but there are plastic removable caps where the routing goes, which makes it easier to find the loose end when pushing through the frame. Mine have never rattled.

How did you get the brake and cable lines through the holes in the frame?
Is there access on the underside of the BB?

There isn't access, but there is a lot of room on the inside of the frame near the bottom bracket. I just used a small metal hook and helped it through with the bottom bracket uninstalled. Takes a minute, but it's really not that bad. I started from the bottom of the chainstay and worked up towards the head tube.

Tybiker, I'm looking for info on running the rear derailleur and rear brake lines.  Are there sleeves?  Any difficulties?  Do they rattle?

Anyone know what size crank spindle is required to clear the chainstays if you are using a 1x setup?  I know its a 100mm BB shell but I'm not sure what will clear 190mm stays.  I'd prefer not to have to run a crank with a huge Q factor.

I'll be using a 32/20, which is good for our New England terrain.

Nice looking rig.  Couple questions for you as I am probably buying the same frame for a SS build.

How much did the frame weigh?
Any issues internally running the rear brake hose?
