Hey everyone, just wanted to share a quick pre-review of my new Tagoola Cure 24 wheelset from AliExpress.

Order & Delivery:
Ordered on August 5th and they arrived at my doorstep on August 13th. The package was undamaged and well-protected. The wheels were packed in basic thin foam bags inside a larger plastic bag. Inside the box, they included two 60mm tubeless valves, a roll of 27mm tubeless tape, and a wheel tension report sheet.

Build Quality:
First impressions out of the box are very positive. The carbon layup looks perfectly clean with no visible imperfections from the assembly. The wheel build feels solid, and the freehub came pre-greased, emitting a nice, deep 'click..click..click' sound from the ratchet mechanism.

Weights & Specs (24mm Internal / 32.6mm External Width):
Total weight came out to 1465g with the tubeless tape and valves already installed, so the bare weight should be a bit lower. I am upgrading from stock Giant P-R2 wheels (which weigh a tank-like 2200g with Giant Fondo 32mm tyres). Shaving off roughly 730g should easily get me to Pogacar-level speeds!

Tyre Installation:
I mounted a set of 32mm Continental GP5000 S TR tyres. As expected, they were notoriously tight. I used a Tyre Glider and a bit of dish soap to guide them on, and they popped right into place. Best of all, they seated perfectly using just a regular floor pump—no compressor needed. At my usual pressure (49 psi front / 51 psi rear), the 32mm tyres stretch out to a nice 33.5mm width on these wide rims.

Next Steps:
I'm heading out for a 50km test ride this weekend and will report back with a full riding review. For now, initial impressions are great, and I'd definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a budget-friendly carbon wheelset.

I've done a total of 800kms on the wheel an so far so good, no problems at all, Freehub sounds amazing. A tad bit scary in crosswinds, but thats to be expected with 50mm wheels

Finally pulled the trigger on the Cure 24 50mm wheels for a crazy deal! About USD $289 final price.

Super duper keen on how they arrive, and how they eventually perform. will be throwing on GP5000 STR 32mm on them

Oh would you be so kind to provide a picture describing the problem?

A few weeks ago I decided to upgrade to a pair of Tagoola Cure R24 in the standard weight which I'm absolutely in love with! The bearings need some extra grease but apart from that they've been aweswome thus far

Hey mate how has the wheels been doing? I've been thinking of getting a pair too, has the spokes been working well? still trued even after the settling in period? Would you recommend it?

added a geoid pm500

How's the power meter going? Might get one for myself?
Accurate? Reliable? Cheap? Can't possibly have all three together

Bought these as second wheelset for my gravel setup instead of "branded" alu wheels. Sadly have not received mine yet as they are somewhere "in between" for almost a month. Shipping speed from China is a bit of coin toss. And, yeah, price/performance seemed really good, queried Tagoola directly as well and asked a couple of questions. Standard vs lightweight difference is layering of carbon. U went with standard - not looking to most lightweight setup.
Given I'm planning to use 32mm tyres and likely tubeless (so lower pressures) - I see no issues with having mini-hook design.

I hope to give some feedback in after a while.

Have you received the wheels yet? If so, how has it performed?

Thank you for the reply. I will indeed wait for your feedback.

Im also planning to run 32mm Gp5000 str. Tubeless too. Im currently running 50psi for my current tubeless setup. And the 24mm interval and 32mm external of the Cure 24 seems like it's a great fit for my planned tyres

I've got a set of these wheels a few weeks ago. I got the light version.
For the price is a great choice. 32mm tyres fit perfect.
As usual there finished with care and came pre taped for tubeless.
I would buy them again!

Im also chatting with zen carbon and light carbon. And both of them offer wheels at a higher price. Am I paying a premium because they're more well known? And should I rather get tagoola at a cheaper price, if im comparing the same build from tagoola vs zen carbon.

Just stumbled across these: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005011872799002.html

Are they a new Set? Price seems absolutely incredible, especially with the 32mm rim width.

I've been eyeing them for awhile. but hasnt seen any reviews about it, so i've been holding back

It depends on many things, but in most cases you do not need to go the lightest possible option. 1200-1300g is absolutely great for a wheelset. If you don't mind, how much do you weight?
Weight distribution is also a thing when looking at a wheelset. The closer to the axle the less the weight matters. That means you could go for a hub that has proven to be reliable, like H-Works SR270 or THR R2 possibly, with no real performance loss (maybe even a perf gain?). Pillar 1420 spokes are probably okay. Rim weight option depends on rider weight and power output but it wouldn't hurt to go with just slightly heavier option that might make a stiffer wheelset overall. With those changes you'll still end up with <1300g wheelset most likely.

I am 67kgs. My bike is about 9kgs with the stock wheels. So even if im fully kitted out, im below the 90kgs limit. Should I still stick to the rims Zara recommended tho, I believe they are the vaporise, or should I switch for a slightly heavier (but cheaper) rims?

My requirements are 40mm depth, steel bearings, steel spokes (cx ray), 36t ratchet (cuz i heard theyre more durable than the 54t), with 23-25mm internal (im running gp5000 32s).

If not the vaporlite. What you recommend the setup be?

This will be first set of carbon wheels. Ive spoken to Zara, and she's been amazing, replying to all my questions and been accommodating my budget. Shes sent me this wheelset plan. And I wanted to post it here to ask for your recommendations.

I live in Urban Australia, our landscape isn't flat, and I do have to climb small hills and do alot of twists and turns on my daily commute to work and the weekly group rides. Im upgrading from my stock Giant PR2 wheels (1.9kg) to these Zen wheels for about $700.

My question is that. As im not a crit racer or planning to climb the highest hills locally. Do I need such light wheels? Scrolling on weightweenies and chinertown and everyone always wants to go as light as possible. But does it mean im trading weight for the stability and toughness of let's say a paid of 1300g wheels?

Please give me tips. Do I need these super light weight wheels or should I save the budget and go for normal weight at about 1300g?
