Yes I sent Chris a few messages. He said push harder but not possible. Have a look at the photos attached.

Measure your ID for both headset bearings and see if they match the crown race you have. More than likely they sent you two 42 ID IS52 bearings. I dealt with same issue where I got sent two of the same sizes so the bottom bearing didn’t “click” in. I ended up buying the replacement bearings on ASOS and that fixed it.

To the poster above me, I agree. I had a headset compression ring break, fork steerer was poor quality and cracked, mentioned sent wrong bearings, Chris promising me a replacement fork and ended up going radio silent for over a month. I also cannot recommend Velobuild due to their lack of QC.

Chris will be great with providing pre order questions to get your business, but be wary of their customer service.

Does anybody have any recommendations for BTA setup on the stock basebar and risers? Trying to brainstorm how to mount in that single hole in the middle of the plate.

Just got my frame in, with the new alloy stem. I was inspecting it before I cut the steerer, but I’m perplexed. Anyone know where the top cap is supposed to screw in? I can’t see it screwing into anything. Also the half washer as well, what is this used for?
