I like where gravel frames are heading. Tire clearance and a T47 BB are a lot more appealing to me than chasing a few extra grams.

It does feel like road bikes are slowly heading that way. I'd still be a bit cautious about going outside ETRTO though—I'd rather wait until the rim manufacturers start explicitly approving those combinations.

Haha, I'd still want to see a few long-term ride reports before calling it a better alternative. Geometry is only part of the story.

BSA and UDH on the same frame definitely caught my eye. If the ride quality is good, this could end up being a pretty interesting option for the price.

Definitely doesn't sound normal. I'd double-check the wheel is fully seated first, but if it is, I'd be looking at the dish rather than the rim being out of true.

If it's just the clear coat, a bit of polish might make it look better. If it's worn through the paint, I'd probably just touch it up and put some frame protection tape there so it doesn't keep getting worse.

Love seeing projects like this. Turning your own idea into a real piece of kit is pretty satisfying — hope the suit survives some serious gravel miles! 😄

yeah, there are quite a few Chinese carbon saddle options. Some are surprisingly good, but I’d avoid the super cheap ones and look for real-world reviews first.
