We're back in business the SX seatpost works safely within the minimum insertion length.

It looks a bit rough unpainted but at least I can ride it again.

Good idea, I did and was advised to push for a replacement as it's not a good design or area to repair.

My current solution was to buy the size down in stock as it's only a 20mm difference and with my saddle height I'm still within the safe minimum insertion point.

Was chasing a creak, went through the usual troubleshooting and checking all torque points / greasing up etc and even swapped out a spare crankset and the creak was still there!

Pulled the saddle inspected it and greased it look fine.

Then one night in the right light/angle I noticed a crack in the seat post saddle mount insert.

My only saving grace was that the BB had to come out at one stage anyway as I had a loose rivet head bouncing around that refused to fall out of the seat post opening.

Now the fun of trying to get a replacement... Polygon already told me they aren't able to help and to contact the store who haven't replied to me in almost a week.

Finally figured it all out, had to make a 3D printed dust cover as I had 1.5mm exposed and also a new expanding plug.

Much cleaner, bit of fresh life into an "old" bike, I think i'll go with a KORE wheelset next as the Prime wheelset is heavier than the stock ALU wheelset it came with.

Just had a KOCEVLO X01 delivered, trying to tidy up my cockpit on an older 2019 Cube frame.

For the life of me I can't seem to get the headset tight enough to eliminate play, seemingly even if I use my old FSA spacers etc.

Can anyone recommend a steerer plug? I think my FSA one is too dated.

That is incorrect, completely different and physically smaller plus faster shifting.

However an R7150 FD is basically an R8050 FD.

How true are they? All my Shimano chainrings deviate too much for my liking, had to test and swap the straightest out of 3 groupsets I have for my "good" bike. I like having the front derailleur adjusted as close as I can without rub but these stock chainrings make it hard.

I upgraded my 105 with Ultegra RD/FD already running Ultegra cassette and chain.

IMO it feels a lot nicer than the 105 but apparently that's a placebo. (My issue with 105 was I constantly had to re adjust FD and it's a breeze to setup through etube since no H/L limit screws had the whole upgrade done in 20mins?)

it was ~$300 AUD cheaper than local so couldn't help it.
