Hi dolemike, I also think about getting myself a LCFS958 but haven't received any reply to my query on  their website yet. Are you in contact with any salesperson at Lightcarbon? It would be great if you can share some contact details. Thanks a lot!

theres another company selling it now. http://www.yishunbike.com/fs958-new-full-suspension-trail-mountain-bike-frame_p13.html might try there.

This is true very expensive. I even joked with Trickstuff on pinkbike when they showed their prototype fork. (Very raw and very sick.)

I told them I would like to buy one of their forks but I only have one kidney left after buying their brakes.

In reality I actually bought my brakes 1 at a time. And made sacrifices to pay for them. For several months I had a tickstuff on the front and an xtm8000 on the rear.
So i got a daily comparison between highend and budget brakes.

One of the problems with owning Trickstuff is you are out of the brake conversation.

Anytime a new brake comes out you might start to read about it and get excited. But then you look at your bike and go "I'm good" like forever.

I bought mine from bike24 so no real wait for me. Check the german online retailers they have them in stock from time to time.

I have the Piccola and i love them. They are a great trail brake with all the power you will ever need. Great modulation they feel really solid thanks to the 4 cartridge bearings in each lever.

They also do not require olive and barb. The attachment threads into the actual hose. I love this part of them.

And they happen to be the lightest hydro in the world. But don't feel like it they just feel like a great brake.

Might build up a lc908. I think it would make a good gravel/monstercross bike.

Still no luck? I'm also looking for a 460-470mm reach 67 degree head angle frame to build into a flat bar gravel bike.

Only thing i can think is maybe the hose size? Not going thru the internal routing holes?

I don't know my 958 has Trickstuff hydros and no problems.

 Anybody know the weight?

With the head angle and reach i would definitely want a lower offset fork.

66 degree head angle with a 120mm fork is pretty agressive.

A vaccine is 18 months away and the virus is spreading and able to survive in the open for days.

I dont see things getting better any time soon.

Most manufacturers have a 165X45 at 120mm of suspension and 165X40 and 110  so that leave 165X42.5 at 115.  115 to me would be fine with 130 mm fork in front.  Similar to Giant Trance 29..a decent trail bike.

diycarbonbikes.com lists this frame which looks similar and sells in both a regular 165X38 version and a trunnion version.

With the Carbonda frame some riders said the 45 fit on it but the top of the shock linkage was close to touching the seat tube.

Ive already built that frame up. Its the same as a fs027 from miracle bike.
I liked it and thats what led me to build my Lightcarbon 958.

I really really like flexstay designs but they are very dependent on shock tune.

And also that 1800 gram super light frame and its geo is calling me...and i just got done building my lcfs958. Dammit.

Does anyone know if its possible to put a 165x45 on it and get it to 130mm?

Edit from reading the thread a medium super light is little over 1900grams. Also i see 165x45 is a no go? So what is the rear travel with a 42.5 vs 40mm stroke?
And last if i put a offset bushing in reverse would that be enough for the 45mm stroke to not hit the seat tube? And what is the travel with a 165x45 shock?

Im almost positive a topaz 2 would fit.

And im almost positive if you took the control knobs off most would fit.

If you have the exact measurements of the shock i could get some rough measurements off my bike.

Couldn't you just run it upside down? Or would that not work either? If so, that's very limiting of the shocks you can use.  Almost all decent coil shocks ruled out.

No one makes a 165x45 coil shock anyway.
