What wheels did you buy?

I bought this wheelset:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007009661247.html

With D325 hubs. They are CSC Wheelset.

At least they warn you. I'd definitely use this for race only!

But, what is the conversion from the 300 max tensile strenght to bike power watts?

3
The thing is h-works HW-261 looks similar to the advert picture but the hub built in the wheelset is another. If you look at the pictures taken directly from the wheel you will see what I mean.

I used a Xplova Noza S.

Now I am a happy user of Thinkrider X7 Pro Gen4. Not too much use at the moment, let's see how it goes this next winter!

Hello,

Could you tell me what model is this hub?

It looks similar to a Goldix and I managed to use the DT350 freehub but... More images, does it ring a bell to you?

I am looking for the same. Good truing stand could be this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005047984503.html

There are many sellers and I don´t know who could be the good one. Also, it depends where are you living.

i used many of them, R310SL 28h for gravel set, R180 for some road.
R240SL and R180SL just lately, but most of them is on that model that doesn't have model number, no logo, just ratchet 24h and weight around 290 grams. They are just normal ratchet and not to loud, best choice for most wheelsets.

So you used R180SL for a new set of MTB wheels, do you know what was the weight you got?

As far as I could see the M180 weights around 350 grams, https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005006065318449.html and can´t see any difference from R180 version who weights the same https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005006057668006.html.

I was just planning to use this Goldix 240EXP, 309 grams, https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005003014289678.html.

I did some builds with GDR310 and they were reliable and if not, you could get the ratchets from DT Swiss 350, compatible with them.

What would be your recommendation to build a new XC Wheelset?

Any boost MTB hubs recommendation? I would like ratchet and light. I found the Venfort and Goldix M180. Any other similar with better weight?

I would say that the TheOne A1 stem is the same like Kalloy Uno stem.

You can see this at: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33058162085.html

Then they are better than I expected, I didn´t check their factory.

So

Farsports: UCI approved
Elite Wheels (Yuan An): UCI approved
Carbon Beam wheels: ???
Yishunbike: ???
Deerobust: ???

I read once that Deerobust rims are made by Yishunbike, but I don´t know.

I don´t have any reference and I think that they are only a reseller.

I already ordered a pair of Farsports Feder. Good weight, a lot of references, UCI approved. Many things that made me confident on these carbon rims. I will build with Goldix GDR310 and Sapim CX-Ray. I think they will be a very light and reliable wheels.

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Farsports Feder rims
« on: November 19, 2021, 04:44:41 PM »
Hello!

I am looking for two new rims to mount a new wheelset for road disc and I think that Farsports are reliable rims. I didn´t test by myself but I read some good reviews.

Brands I tested:
- Yishunbike: the quality is very good but their clincher versions are too heavy (not really too but heavier than other options and a bit expensive in comparison:
- Deerobust: I have a pair of clincher 38 mm rim brake. The quality es very good, I haven´t had any issue with rims. Reasonable weight, customizable and reliable in my opinion.
- Carbonbeam Wheels: maybe the cheapest of all brands in this comparison. The only but, the weight.

Comparing Farsports Feder with the above options, I could say that they are the most expensive and the lighter option. Weight is one of the most important things for me but I want reliable/durable and good quality rims.

Do you have any other brands? Do you agree with me?

Regards
