Having built a 27.5 from Woke Cycles over 2 years with my son racing it at Regional level and it being able to tackle even the 2012 Olympic MTB course at Haldleigh Park it was time to go at it again as he's grown.

We selected a FM-003 T1000 carbon 19" from Spcycle via EBay (£200.00 delivered) as it had the lines we liked and they responded to my queries promptly.... Build up was easy and no problems were encountered. The only job was to drill out a couple of water drainage holes to the removeable bottom plate. Some Cove USA decals were added as no one knows of them in the UK really and he likes the graphics. No rattling of internal cables and easily sub 10kg in race trim.

Rock Shox Reba Forks and Deore XT bits as broken/worn parts in battle need to be cheap for spares but money spent on the lightweight wheelset build: DT Swiss XR361 rims laced to 350 hubs and Sapim spokes... XR361's selected as they can be used for cyclocross in the Winter.

Built for XC speed and it's maiden battle was a week after build up and my son says it raced flawlessly.
