Tenazrael:    Have not posted in over 4 months, but to answer your q, build went smooth, all components from the Airborne fit the 057.   The only tricky part was cutting the hydraulic hoses to pull them through the frame.   Saved over 1 lb, and with some Cr29erMax we had it has turned out really well, and feels more comfortable .

Ok.  It went through Ok . It sems both options are fine, with Make Payment you end up paying PayPal their fee directly.  Now I wait and let you know how it goes!

Ok. Vip.   I will wait for Peter to wake up later today and look at my Emails.   We'll see..i think it may have to do with selecting as method for payment " Make Payment" instead of selecting "Send Money".

Ok I see.  I will contact PayPal to see what went different.  I had no option but to pay the fee and only the net for the items and shipping was paid to XMI.   We'll see,
Tks!

Thanks CD....
One additional Q:   Last night I placed the order with XMIplay via PayPal.   PayPal charged me directly a fee of almost 4% (3.95 aprox). In the end, XMI received their net payment ,but without the 4% they wanted me to include in the order, which I paid directly. Is this typical in the way you have been deaing with payments to xMI,  or you send a payment for the items' total plus the 4% and Then XMI pays PayPal?   I could not find any other option to pay but the way I did.
Peter replied that my payment was incomplete, and he wanted me to include the 4%, but that would raise my payment over the quantity invoiced by XMI .   I am waiting on Peter's response currently.

Another question: as far as frame size, for a 5'-11.5" rider, 32" inseam pant's size, would a 19 inch frame that shows a stand-over height of 826.9 ( 32.5"), be OK? ( A 17.5 shows a Stand-over height of 31.7").
What's the experience out there ?

Is the IP-057 really that tall?  Other frame dimensions on the sketch seem to indicate that generally they match other mainstream brands, except on the stand-over height where they show unusually tall measures..

Actual users' experience? Deciding between a 17.5 and a 19" now.
Thanks

OK Thanks everyone. Some further info shared by Peter today:

IP-057 and IP-056 are same frame, the only difference is IP-056 is with aluminum dropout for QR only, IP-057 is for replaceable dropouts for QR and 142x12

IP-057 frame and IP-056 frame are with all inner cable routing.

IP-029 is with external brakes cable routing and for QR only

Hmmmm . I need to some more homework.  I had the impression that the QR vs through-axle was the only difference between a 056 and the 057!
I will read the fine-print!!

Thanks! I am leaning to the 056 since I already have the Cr29ssMax quick release wheels .  Very helpful info!  I will print both sketches and compare them.  My Goblin is 18" so preliminarily it may be the 17.5 in the 056. Will let you guys know how it goes.   Thanks.

Thanks!   Some other questions, for both the 256SL, and the 056 frames:

What is the front derrailleur type and diameter?

What is the standover height for the 15.5, 17.5 and 19 inch frame sizes?  I read somewhere about someone surprised about how little clearance they had once assembled , even with the sloping top tube.

What is the reccomended headset brand?

I am serious about assembling this bike, but since I have already several other name brands ( Epic 29er, Roubaix Comp, Motobecane 29er, and other oldies) I want to make sure my Airborne NewGoblin parts fit the XMIPlay frame before placin the order.
Thanks for your great support, MTB. Any other advisors?

 Thanks MTB.
Another question.  Would the 056 handle my weight: 210lbs?

Hi! New to this Forum, but already like it!    I own a Airborne New Goblin 29er; fine bike and well-equpped for the money, but the aluminum frame is poorly finished and ride is harsh. Only upgrades were the Mavic Cr29ssMax, and a Thomson seatpost.   Thinking of buying a 056 frame (quick release) and swapping all components possible to the new frame, plus adding a carbon seatpost.  Seeking advice from Forum members if anyone has attempted this before, and whether there are any other parts that must be changed for the frame swap.
