Hi, I am thinking of getting this frame.
What is the long term experience and reliability like? I am thinking on those who have been riding it for a while now.
Also. If I remember correctly some had issues with the length of the axle and the size / threads for the derailleur hanger.
Has carbonda ironed out this issues, if at all?
Do people who have recently received the frame have noticed these or any other issues?

Ah, the carbon eyelets with two bearings - similar to my fix  ;D

A lower link with through-axle. Better. Yet the link still has a cutout between the eyelets. Can do better without the cutout.

So what is the upgrade policy for the purchasers of the first version?

I lack the knowlede regarding speficics about bearings, bolts, and mechanical engineering in general. But what about ease of service to replace the bearings? Common tools either push the bearing in or out, and I know there are tools that pull (or jank even) the bearings out. How would the bearings from the revised rear triangle be removed? Is there enough space for a tool that pulls bearings out? Because I see that tools that push bearings in and out would not be possible to use here. Maybe I am just overthinking this or simply speak from my ignorance...

I found someone willing to make the bolts, a friend and co-founder of Effigear (https://www.effigear.com/en/). They make gearboxes for bikes (and also some bikes), and equip among others the Cavalerie bikes (https://www.cavalerie-bikes.com/home).

The cost is approx 280 EUR for a small series (up to ~50 bolts), so the more we are, the cheaper. They will even anodize them in black. They could deliver by end January 2022.

I've set up a spreadsheet for those interested. In there, please indicate the D and L dimensions for your frame, to check if these values are consistent. If not, I have another solution.

Thanks JJJ
I put myself on the list/spreadsheet. I will provide the measurements later.

I just recently paid for my frame (Size S). Eddy confirmed the fork's crown does hit the frame on size S. He did not mention (and I did not ask) about this issue for the other sizes.
To solve this issue, within this thread a Reverse-components spacer or an Acros blocklock headset have been suggested. Hopefully, at least one of them works.

I received an email from scourge about the Group Buy (GB) happening -thank you.
-I am still in with 1: size small (Unsure about a second one in size medium).

I still have a couple of doubts though, especially regarding our chances to reach the lower price and who and how this is being controlled.
-Is the 30 or 50 frame GB considered as such regardless of the frame size ordered?
-Are all sizes ready to produce now? (I think that when the original thread was started the frame and only in one size was still in development)
-What is the price if the GB does not even reach 30 frames?
-How are the orders being bundled (and who is doing it) so that we know the lower price was reached? Is there any need to do this?
-Is Eddy taking orders until a cut-off date so that he can quote based on the number of orders that we were able to reach? Or is it that, by simply telling Eddy you are part of the GB allows you to access the prices he gave us, and trust Eddy will quote accordingly?
-Is there any promise from Eddy to respect the $499 price or refund any difference if the GB reaches 50 frames?
-For what I have read, some people have already placed orders at $540 (before shipping, custom colour, etc.). Did Eddy ask for a payment already or is he waiting until a cut-off date?
-How does it work regarding payment? Do we need to cover 100% upfront? Or is it a 50% (or any other %) payment to place your order and the remainder before the order is shipped?

I guess it sounds with all these questions that I am hesitant but not really, I think $540 is still a good deal. I just would like to know more details if possible before placing an order, or other’s experience so far.

Yes, please count me in. Size 16/small.
Location: Guadalajara (Mexico)
Color: Undecided
I'll hate myself both for missing this chance as well as the timing if this comes through... this Covid-19 thing has USD exchange rates at crazy numbers.
-Anybody knows rough estimates on shipping? (Perhaps from previous experiences)
-Any chance they could include a shock option with the group buy too? (Probably too complicated since people's preferences will vary greatly I suppose)
Thank you BTW, to those involved and stepping in with the coordination!

Yes, but not in a good way for a lot of us.  I'd be in but for how much the Aussie dollar has been hit.
Indeed must of us are on the losing end. Hopefuly things get at least slightly better by the time we have to actually pay. Otherwise I still have to give it a good thought/crunch some numbers.
