29er / newbie xc question
« on: February 21, 2022, 11:45:12 AM »
Hi..

AFAICT most of the frames offered are all mountain/trail bikes.    Are there any that are new-ish XC with either 100mm or 120mm in the rear and designed around a 120 fork up front.  Regular BB please..  Oh and 6'3" 215lbs.  XL

Ty!

29er / daughter's bike got run over, replacement carbon?
« on: November 29, 2020, 10:13:21 PM »
Rapidly growing 11 year old.  Already was showing a lot of seatpost on her 26" stumpjumper hardtail aluminum (2008 vintage I think)  At today's mtb race, one of the sponsors backed over the bike with van. Both our fault, no one hurt.  Was wondering if china carbon might be appropriate.  I could build up either a 26 or 29er. Cheapskate dad would want the rear end to be 135qr so I can use on e of my existing wheels.

Any recommendations.  - oh bonus if its pink  :)

Thx

I browsed some of their products and realized they are also Tito Titanium. I have ordered a flat & riser bars from them but the items have yet to arrive. So I can't comment on it yet.

I have order 3 ti handlebars from titos over the past few years.  I weigh 210lbs.  No issues with handlebars.

Thx

Hi John V, Miami FL
Came here because I am looking for a 120mm travel up front xc/trail frame.  I have a turner sultan 29er and I find it to squeeky in the bushings.  I am interested in the LCFS958 but concerned that both reviews talk about the bobbing.  I had old school lenz leviathan 29er and that bobbing made me ride hardtail only from 08 to this year.  What other frames are people looking at in that style.

Thanks!
