Yes agree, this build came about due several parts that were available including wheels that were bought to fit a different frame etc. You are right, I could not find any rim brake frame that could clear 32c. I am not sure if Shimano 105s that are currently installed will clear 32s...same for Cane creeks..will have to find out.

Build was not bad at all. It went smoothly. The routing for integrated handlebar is a bit fiddly but doable.

Too early to provide riding impressions, I am new to carbon road bikes and have very little experience to compare against. The bike felt stiff and responsive in the first few rides, still working on the fit before going on a long ride. obviously, the 1x provides fewer gear options and therefore gets a little getting used vs. 2x or 3x. I may eventually go to a 2x setup as electronic shifting is becoming more affordable. Braking is adequate, I have some cane creek ee brakes that I may install at some point.
This is a much more aggressive riding position compared to the Sequoia touring triple I have been riding for a long time. Hubs are a bit loud but overall wheels seem well built. I do not race or do any big events so this is more than enough bike for my needs once the fit is dialed.

Looks like my rim is 25mm wide so not sure if 28mm will fit since the pads are somewhat close.  I'm using ultegra 6800 which apparently shimano says should use 25mm or less tire but can use 24-28mm carbon rim.

I don't have a caliper tool so not that accurate, but looks to be about 26mm wide.

Thanks much!! I was planning to buy brakes that are specifically rated to clear 28mm rims. Not worried about that, was more concerned if the rear stays will clear a 28mm aero rim reasonably well. Thanks again!!

NERD ALERT post.  Still waiting on the wheels and as soon as they are in i will double check the fit for those waiting on whether a 28C or 30C tire will fit.  I did however get some total nerd parts in.  Some people love weight weenie parts and some don't, i am one who does.  feel free to ignore this post if you are not.

Yes, the bike that this velobuild frame is replacing is a GT GTR elite frame with the Sensah Empire Pro 2x12 group set.  It was the full group set with the CVR hard rock crankset.  I was actually quite impressed with it over all.  Runs very quiet while on the trainer and shifts well.  I would be lying if I didn't say there was a definite difference between the Sensah and my Dura Ace group but the is.  However, if I were looking at spending the 700$ or so for a 105 group set I would really have to think twice about the Sensah.  It is really good.  It would be even harder if you are used to or prefer the Sram shifting method. I am really in love with how Shimano shift so I know that makes me bias but if you are a Sram guy already then I would say go Sensah.  A friend build a gravel bike with the SRX group set and I built it up for him.  Same basic comments there as well.  Super impressed and it works really well. That was the main driver of me getting the empire set.

I'd be really interested to know if this will clear 28c to 30c tires. I have a new carbon 28mm aero rim brake wheelset from light carbon and did not pull the trigger on 066 frame because it said 25c clearance.
