« on: September 05, 2024, 03:10:51 PM »Looks really neat. Just out of curiosity, would be interesseting to see a legit OSTRO from the inside to compare the looks. That checkerboard pattern looks special, have never seen it on the inside of a frame before.
That checkerboad pattern is spreadtow carbon fiber, basically unidirectional carbon fibers lightly woven together, with one benefit being easier to laminate. Its also usually very light.

Probably not what you want to here, but Specialized made a big deal about the current generation shiv being extremely light, so it's probably that. If for some reason you need a light TT bike, maybe there are some road frames that can fit TT extensions, but thats probably worst of both worlds

Have you checked ebay? Chainstay direct mount brakes are basically dead tech, at least in germany you can semi regularly find those brakes close to new with a very steep discount
