If money was not a factor in choosing the best frame among the LCR020, the QuickPro ER:One and the XMCS VRT, would you still consider the LCR020 ? Yes, it is cheaper so there will be more money left for wheels and groupset, but...

If money truly was no object, we would probably all be riding an S5 ;)

In your position I would quickly buy a Quickpro before their global price increases. It’s available now, has gotten good reviews and is already UCI certified. I think they’re also starting to be know enough to have better resale value in the future. You could even see if the prebuilts they have up will beat the price you could get on your own

I am also interested in this, VRT and ER-One.

Has anything about UCI homologation been mentioned from anyones communication with LC? Also any pictures of raiser bar?

I guess 1000g for size 54 indicate something around 1100 or just under for size 6 if it scales similar to LCR018.

I would imagine theyll try for a UCI certification again this time. The reason the lcr018 didnt get certified was their wind eye design and theyve dropped that for this frame

I am starting my process with Lightcarbon and really love the transparent green that Quick Pro offers. It doesn’t seem like this is one of LCs standard offerings. Has anyone managed to get this on a LC bike yet?

Someone has posted a transparent green frame in the 160 pages this thread now has, so its possible :D

Looks good!

So it's the same frame without the "wind eye". I am guessing they use the same moulds for both, so you can ask for no wind eye, like you can ask for no frame storage?
With the 73 version I imagine you save a bit of weight, easier to clean and more compliant rear end.

I think the 73 ist the version they offer to b2b customers while the 72 is b2c. They have a 019d that doesn’t show up in their public catalogue that is like the 018d without the windeye that showed up in an extended catalogue. Asking probably doesn’t hurt.

I dont think those pictures are representative anyway since it looks like the wheels arent rotating.

Huh, looks like the zen website is down

@Kungie, is there more information about this new LightCarbon frame somewhere? I've used the search function here but didn't find anything. Thank you.

They showed a sneakpeak in this interview on youtube: https://youtu.be/RsAlqKrbaks?t=1610

No models from other brands worth looking into that I might have missed?

You could ask speeder cycling if theyll sell you a sc-r49d https://www.speedercycling.com/Carbon-Integrated-Road-Disc-Frameset-SC-R49D-_p399.html

does anyone else spotted those two frames, ( clearly,De Rosa and Colnago) on the latest video from Lightcarbon costume paint?
maybe an external factory where other brands are painted as well?

I think I remember LC saying that they get their stuff painted externally

As a thought experiment, if someone is already selling you a counterfeit frame illegally, why should they adhere to the warranty they supposedly have anyway? Or is your definition of pinarello-style a frame with similar geometry, then you might have luck finding something but you'd have to tell us what frame and size you're looking for

Interview & Factory Tour video is on now! (Full English)

That seemed like a real No-BS interview, thanks to everyone involved

Hello, just finished building my bike. I need to make some adjustments and will be getting a replacement front wheel, as the one I got had a flexible spot.

Sick paintjob! I sort of wish you would have conti details on the chainstay though, but I know why you didnt :D

I think there's an in-between - something of slightly higher quality, but without the crazy premium pricetag.
Maybe Peter at XM Carbon, or LightCarbon will bring out something next year.

I wish you good luck searching, but the triangle of light, cheap, good still applies. Winspace has some SLC2/3 frames on black friday sales, Speeder Cycling was the manufacturer for the SLC 2 I believe, maybe you could get a raw frame from them for even chearp. I personally think what youre looking for doesnt really exist

Edit: Maybe look at the longteng ltk266 as well, but it also isnt really lighter than the previous options

Have you looked at the ICAN Fl1 as an aethos-like?
