Metal Frames / Re: looking for ready made Ti frames.
« on: March 23, 2021, 05:13:43 AM »
i actually really like the Canyon Grail geo & all. does it make sense for me to copy the geo from a aluminium bike to have it on a Ti frame? or does anyone do OEM frames for Canyon?

i'm going for a Ti frame/ CF Fork setup. i'm located in Asia currently so shipping would not be a problem.

thank you so much for this. i’ll probably look at the Taiwanese makers.

relatively new to back to cycling so i have no idea on prefered geometry, etc. thus the search for ready-made frames. also, i am curious as to where i can purchase gravel specific CF forks as well.

i intend to build a Ti frame with CF seatpost, forks, stem&drops. probably ZTTO mechanical disc brakes. reusing my spare 700c Cosmic wheelset as a starting wheelset with a MicroShift Advent C dropbar groupset.

am i missing out anything?

Metal Frames / looking for ready made Ti frames.

hi there, i’m currently looking for a seller who has ready made Ti frames for a budget gravel build. read the previous posts and saw that Walty & TiBicycles has some available. but would like to know if there’re others which have them available.

looking for something that is compatiable with my road bike as i might be transfering some parts over from it. 700c wheelsets, etc.

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / hub options for wheel build.

i’m doing abit of research to understand the different hub options commonly available from AE sellers. i know DT-Swiss is pretty much the go-to for reliability but given their price tags, even for the 350, are the hubs below ranked correctly? i basically ranked them according to the pricing from one seller. but do their prices really reflect their quality?

1- DT-Swiss 250
2- DT-Swiss 350
3- Powerway R39 Aluminium
4- Powerway R36 Carbon
5- Novatec 791/ 792
6- Novatec 291/ 482

i’ve been searching for a particular wheelset & i found afew different stores offering them, at different prices as well. has anyone come across these rims at your preferred AE shop?

here’s a link from the store that has the most purchases for this design.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32961320240.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.3de4ca9eyaoDYa&algo_pvid=null&algo_expid=null&btsid=0bb0624316100454906444670e18af&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_

are the “purchases” trustable?

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / first post. first build.

hi everyone! i’ve been lurking for a couple months doing abit of research, etc. &so my road bike build started. i got this frame from a local guy who stocks&sells sterile framesets&offers them built. according to him, the frameset is from the Avanti Corsa DR series mold. &initial inspection does seem to point to it. but i’m unsure who actually manufactured the frame. maybe you guys can ID it.

here’s some pics of the frame before&after i sent it for a custom paint-job. &the final picture is the entire bike built-up.

some specs

Frameset&Fork: Carbon Fibre
Handlebar&Stem: Uno
Groupset: Microshift R9
Wheelset: Mavic Cosmic Elite (Aliexpress)

i’m located in a quiet corner of Asia  ;D

hope you guys like it!
