I bought a frame from these guys in 2014.    It has been awesome.

I'm now trying to replace my old Stans wheels.   I'm considering this wheelset (note, it's QR so options limited.)

It's a rigid singlespeed with a FK029 fork. 

Both from XMIPLAY.

I built it up, and road it a few times over 4 months.  On day, on a trail, the fork snapped of during braking.   Bert at XMLIPLAY sent me a replacement.   

I bought the frame late Dec, 2014.  Replacement fork shipped in early, April, 2015.   Just roughly 4 months.

I love my nerve with it.   I put the frame on the shelf and went back to my heavy steel bike, which is very reliable, but heavy!   Now, at 1.5 years later, I'm building it up again, with the replacement fork.   Am I nuts?

I'm nervous about the FRAME and the FORK.     I ride in bumpy places that friends ride full suspension bikes.   Looking at the link above for the frame, you'll see a quote seen on quite a few other frames.

This warranty does not cover:
    * Normal wear and tear, any damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, abuse, or stunt riding (veld bashing, riding down stairs, or similar activities).

This really worries me, as I ride down rutty, rooty, rocky stuff that could be thought of as stairs, or bashing.   I don't want to worry about this bike if I ride it hard, hammer pedal it, or go flying down a bumpy trails at top speed. 

So, what is the word about this frame?  And reviews?  Ride reports?

I have an IP-256 frame with a FK029 fork.  I ride hard, and the fork broke.

Does anyone else ride a rigid setup with foreign-sourced carbon parts?

As for item 2 above, I see this on the team bear site (http://beercomponents.com/?page_id=588)

"This eccentric will require a crank with a 24mm Spindle.  Shimano, SRAM GXP, FSA…24mm spindles only."

Seems like it should have worked.  Clearly, it didn't.  They do mention this

"SRAM Truvativ Shim"

Perhaps that is what you need?  Did do you have this

I searched for details, and found something about the non-drive side being 22 mm for spindle diameter.  And that matches what Team Beer has for you.

Sorry to be demanding.  I will pay for good advice!  (I'm in Sacramento, and will buy you a beer for good dirt).  Let's start a discussion here of using the Beer EBB.  If you've done it, please comment.  Would love to hear how it worked for you, or how it could have been better.

For starters, does the Beer components EBB work with the 057, 256, M-092 well?  Calling all users of this kit here in chinertown? 

I've heard that tightening up the Beer EBB can be rough on a carbon frame.  Is this for real?  Any real usage reports?

I've also heard that chainrings might hit the stays on some frames.  While this isn't a Beer EEB issue, it is a singlespeed issue probably running an EBB.

I'm laboring over my first dive off the chiner bridge, hoping the bungy is tied tight to my harness tight.

I'm looking for exactly what you've built up, essentially.  Carbon hard tail, carbon rigid fork, beer EBB.  I'm looking at the IP-507, M-092, ORION, an some others.  I've got the added distraction that I love my SE Stout.  I don't know exactly what I love about it exactly, the geo, the steel, the color, the bulletproof feel.  I want to love my next build even more.  I don't want to worry when a rock kicks up.  I don't want to think of it as a disposable, temporary ride. I want to think of it as the ride that lets me push a bigger cog, and climb a couple hills that I current can't clear. 

Part of me wants to just go high quality steel, or Ti.  But, this carbon think is so fresh.   It's alluring.   

You have given me some confidence, thanks for that.  Bloody hell - concussions?  Sorry to hear that.  Some might say it's the concussions that cause you to ride a rigid single.  But, you and I know both know, unless you live in a place full of rocks, single-rigid is close to bliss.  Railing corners is just one of the lovely parts of it, no dipping in the corners.  Of course, the low volume tubeless help.

I've been looking carefully as the charted geometry matches my SE  Stout closely.  Specifically the wheelbase and heat tube angle.  I have no reason to think the IP-057 wouldn't work other than geo.  Perhaps I'm grossly over thinking the geo, but I love my Stout, and just want it, but lighter.  If someone said this M-092 was really nice, based on experience, I'd consider it.

Perhaps this company isn't reliable?  Is there any feedback on Velobuild?

I have questioned the seller about that weird frame sizing vs geo chart mismatch.  And I do see what you are saying about the dropouts.  But, until you said that, I don't think I would have ever based a decision on the dropouts, other than my hub is 135mm with XT QR Stans 3.30 - but feel free to teach me something new, if I'm still anchored in the old school.
