Other alloy options are from Mosso (Taiwan), e.g., http://www.mosso.com.tw/products.php?func=p_detail&p_id=319&pc_parent=2

You can find their other gravel frames here: http://www.mosso.com.tw/products.php?func=p_list&pc_parent=2 (use the filter tool or find the ones that series end with GVL)

I am not sure if they accept direct order.

Those Thrust pedal shapes reminded me of my Assioma. Indeed, Xpedo is where Favero outsource their Assioma pedal structures.

It's like joegal said. Use BikeInsights to compare bikes https://bikeinsights.com/compare

If you already have a bike, find the bike model in BikeInsights and compare it to other frames that interest you.

If you don't have any, I suggest for you go to a local bike dealer and let them help you find your size. Remember the model and the size and find it in BikeInsights.

I'm pretty sure that frame is the base for Twitter Gravel.

I found one review on YouTube by Denin Hauer.

Hi guys.

Does anyone have specifications for the bolt used to fasten the seatpost? Mine is damaged on the head and I can't get it out with a hex key. I'd like to have a replacement before I forcefully extract it.

My current bottle cage: https://guee-intl.com/products/qing/

17g, material is slightly more flex compared to carbon cages or alloy, easy access from sides (I ride small frames), and most importantly, looks nice on bike.

Please check Cam Nicholls' video on YouTube about how how brought a Trifox and an Elves frames to the experts and let those experts inspect those frames.

I'd reply for both @Pigdog and @hazzer19

Thanks!

Based on my direct observation, this frame could actually accept 700x35c, but I could be wrong. Someone mentioned in this thread that they successfully fitted 700x34c Schwalbe slick with some space still.

I decided to get a set of 650b wheels in attempt to clear the toe overlap. On gravel, toe overlap is something I don't want to experience. With 650x35b, it successfully cleared the toe overlap; 700x35c will definitely make it worse.

Is there any space left with 650x35b? Yes. Around 1.5mm to the drive-side chain stay. So, in theory, you could jam in a set of 37mm, if you can find any. But better not. 35mm is the widest you can fit safely. 40mm is definitely a big no.

How it rides on gravel? I haven't actually test it on real gravel yet. Also, they are tubed for now due to Hunt's rim tapes came in a such poor condition. That means that I won't be able to enjoy the full experience even if I ride it on real gravel.

My 168 raked more than 9000km outdoor and indoor now. No issues other than creaking headset.

And recently, I've tried to change its attitude. And it worked! Here it is.

Conti Terra Speed 650x35B on Hunt Adventure Sport wheels.

It would be nice if has additional cage mounting points at the bottom of the downtube.

I placed a small piece of aluminum from a can of soda between the seatpost and the frame.

The solution that worked for me.

seat post slipped towards the end of a ride, now it seems like its stuck real good in there, didnt hear a crack or anything, any ideas on how to get it out?

Happened few times to me.

Find an eye-height tree branch, or a metal bar. Wrap it with some thick clothes or foams. Hang your bike by the saddle nose. Ensure the wedge is already loosened. Pull your bike down hard or some good yanks.

Reporting in. Clocked almost 5000km. Completed the last Festive500 and a 200km Randonneuring/Audax with it.

hey guys!

i am really looking into a 168 for my new bike. But I want to be sure it's the right one for me.

I want an 'allroad' like frame, so I'd like room for bigger tires. Anybody tried 35c on they 168 ?

Also I don't like the weight and non adjustability of their handlebars. Do you think I can run an FSA 069 'SRS' headset, to have an almost full integration, with the ability of tweaking everything if I feel like it. (I attached a picture of the routing). I saw somebody do the same with their carbonda fm1056.

Of course if you see a better option that fits my criteria I'm open (road-ish geo, fits up to 35c (measured size), good cable integration (for bikepacking purposes) and good weight.

I'll keep you updated on my purchase!

Have you considered their proper all-road option, the GF-002? Especially as it got extra mounting points for panniers and extra bottle cages.

Also, I just noticed that Winowsports is also selling the same frames.

The semi-hydraulic disc brakes are honestly garbage. Worse than rim brakes. I read that I needed to use compressionless housing. I might switch to that later down the road and see if it makes a difference. For now my recommendation is too spend an extra 300-600 for proper shimano hydraulic brakes. It is however manageable and you can safely brake.

For those considering a budget braking system, might want to watch Trace Velo's on the subject (link's somehow not showing. Just go to his YouTube channel and go to his latest video).

Here's thinking on getting a 105 full hydraulic upgrade...
