Component Deals & Selection / Re: Action cam for bikes

Yes was wondering if anyone had experience with all those cameras listed with electronic stabilization. Or else I would say Insta360 is the best if money was not a concern.

Recently been through an accident in a race and don't remember it.... so I was thinking of potentially putting a camera on my bike. Was wondering what people are using without breaking the bank like a GoPro or Insta360.

If you don't care about weight, look for the Shimano cues u6000 cranksets. I have the 42 t version on my gravel and it's solid.
Bought it on Ali for 45 usd

But Cues only come in 170mm and 175mm?

Looking for a crankset that is 172.5mm in length, converting my MTB to gravel so 73mm BB and want to run 40T chainring, any recommendation on crankset?

Component Deals & Selection / Prowheel 1x Crankset
« on: September 08, 2024, 09:09:56 PM »
Anyone have any experience with Prowheel crankset? I am looking at doing a 1x conversion on my MTB to gravel. It has a 73mm BSA BB for 24mm spindle. Was looking at the DMA version with 40T because it offers 172.5mm but not sure if the spindle is long enough? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006825236891.html

Or if I go with their MTB series https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001985030255.html MPX11 with 40T.

Any experience on these cranks or any other recommendation ?

Looking for alternative for compressionless brake housing instead of Jagwire KEB-Sl which seems to be a little harder to source locally. Anyone used the Talreq ones before? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004643016021.html The shift cable claims to be 5mm. Or any other alternative?

For people still running mechanical cable pull brakes... looks like Ltwoo has finally adjusted their lever position to align with the hydro sets https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007416366854.html

Since this groupset has been out for a while now, anyone have any long term update? Any major or concerning issues (for example the electronic version seems to have a lot of issues now).

Was thinking of going mechanical and like a previous poster wanted to do a 2x gravel setup but can I use the RX setup with a different derailleur or even a Shimano MTB derailleur?

just received 2 G056 frames from sequel bike store, one size XS and other one S
i'm building it with sensah GRX hdr 12 speed and one with flat bar for my gf.
pics soon

Was wondering if you have any feedback on how hard it is to do the routing for mechanical groupset? Did you go with the integrated bars or a 2 piece bar?

12
Do people prefer to run separate bar and stem or the integrated? I was thinking mechanical 2x for it so maybe separate would be easier to route?

Also I am 188cm and normally riding a 58cm frame... looking at the number not sure if L would be on the short side.

LTwoo EGR 1x12 group is straight up $350, no coupons to apply. That's cheaper than it was after coupons during anniversary sale.

BUT, the official LTWoo store is a pain to deal with.
that has regional restriction....doesn't ship to Canada

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: VeloBuild VB-R-268 frame

There should not be any wheel compatibility problems with Mavic Speedrelease as the axle dimensions are equal to normal thru axles. That said I was very close to getting the 168 in stead just to get rid of it.

I was reading that if a wheelset that was 12mm and 15mm compatible (by changing the end cap) then the Speed release might be an issue but maybe that is less common of an issue for road wheels.

How do people like the Mavic speed release and wheel compatibility?
