Hi @RiegelundGel97, I'm sure what you mean about chainline, I guess is how far the chainring sits from the BB.

I have one of this frames and I built it with ultegra cranckset and the chainring fitted where the big chainring of 2x would fit and I used to run a 46T chainring, my rear derailleur is an Sram Rival xplr axs with a 10-45 Shimano cassette.

I don't feel it particularly noisy when I run the lowest gear but it's true that I found the transmission noisier that the standard ultegra that I run on my road bike.

I sent you a picture of the gap with the 40t chainring to show you the gap but as I said I used to run a 46T without any problem even if the gap was quite small

Enter. I have a gravel groupset that i don't use after upgrading my gravel bike and that would help my wife to start cycling

I have been using the Ultegra press fit BB and the another kind of threaded press fit and the difference in longevity has been enormous. With the Ultegra BB the bearings failed after one year and a half with I have been using since then I installed that type on all my bikes (one gravel lightcarbon and my road bike Orro Venturi) and they never failed in 3 years.
But to be honest the brand that I use is Token and not the AliExpress version.

Hi there,

I found a deal in aliexpress for $50 for the LH shifter and the front derailleur, for that price it's not worthy to spend your time trying to find the part required and install the parts on the shifter to make the SRX shifter work as a 2x, at least for me. The only downside it is that I hate to have different logos on the shifters.

Thanks for the pictures.

I believe with that handlebar you can route nicely the cables, I just wanted to see how you routed them to compare with my handlebar.

I didn't want to buy the integrated handlebar and I run a separate stem and now I can see the problem of having them separately.

On the other hand I believe having the chance to change stem or rotate the handlebars compensate that .

Hello,

I ran an SRX groupset but I didn't like the massive steps in between gears running 1x, so I bought a empire left hand shifter and a derailleur.
After asking in a group someone told me the RH shifter is the same just with a different name on it.
The rear derailleur a part from the adjustable spring it is a quite longer cage, apparently it can take up to 52t cassette ( i only use with a 46t) and the empire can take up to 34t.

Now with the 2x I use a 36t cassette and it will quite better than with the 46t.

Have a good ride

Hello everyone, I thought it could of your interest that lightcarbon has a stem that can be used with any handlebar and it is designed to be used with hidden cables frames.

I choose that stem when I purchased my frame from lightcarbon because I prefer the adjustability of separate stem and handlebars. I had several problems to route the cables inside of my frame due the small room available on the top spacer of the steerer but after a bit of a trim all run smooth now.

When I bought my frame the seller (very responsive and helpful) told me that in case that the stem that came with the frame wouldn't fit they sell the stems a part even if there is not shown on their web.

I posted in a thread about the gf002 explaining my problems and there you can see how it looks once the built is finished. http://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,3499.0.html

I hope you will find it useful

Can you add the pictures of the build?

I'm rebuilding mine again as I had to change the brake outer cables to improve the braking.

This color is superb, did you perform the paint on your own or did you ask LightCarbon to perform the painting?
Could you please give me the paint color code for this awesome blue color?

Hi cyril_31,

My frame was painted by some colleagues in the painshop of my work. I honestly don't know the exact colour they used, they gave me a lot of samples and I choose the one I liked the most.
As a reference I took the blue that pinarello uses on the TT bike of Filipo Ganna, but I think my one is not so dark.

Hello,

any updated in your build? I posted in several posts about internal routing frames because I had several problems with the installation of the outer cables routing trough the area of the stem to the frame. http://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,3499.0.html

I started using Juin tech F1 calipers with jag wire outer cables but the gap in between the stem and frame was so small that it made kink the outer cables.

On my second attempt I trim the spacers of the steerer to make the gap bigger and it worked better but as the outer cables were already kinked the inner cables were not running super smooth.

My third and currently attempt  was to use cheap outer cables for the brakes that are far more flexible and now the inner cables run smoothly, but, I can feel that the outer cables are not so efficient as the jag wire.

My last attempt will be (as soon as I receive all the new parts) using jag wire outer cables all the way but with a small but of the cheap outer cable in the area of the tight bending.
Hopefully it will give me the best performance possible.

I bought a set of gravel wheels from Lightcarbon the last October and I don't think they have a shop in Aliexpress.
The wheelset that I bought came with DT240 hubs so obviously were more expensive than the ones of that link but they gave me a quotation for different hub options and none of them were so cheap.
Saying that I don't mean that they are bad quality I mean that they are not coming from the lightcarbon factory.

Hi All,

I finally finished the build of the my bike.

I'm not totally happy with the feeling of the cable actuated hydraulics brakes because I had to swap the outer cables from the jagwire compression less for a cheap Clarks that were quite more flexible and allow me to fit them through the headset without kinking.

I will give a bit if time testing the bike and if the biting don't improve I will take it to the bike shop to have some advice.

A part from that during the short ride that I did to try all was working fine the bike rides very comfortable.

I'm not using a shimano groupset I'm trying to install a sensah srx groupset that my girlfriend was using in her old bike but I'm struggling to route the cables through the stem-frame hole without kink them.
I was recommended to use jagwire compression less outer cables but they are really stiff and when I clamped the stem to the steerer they kinked. So far I trimmed a fair bit of the top spacer of steerer and it improved a lot but unfortunately the outer cables are already kinked.
On the other hand I had a set of cheap Clarks outer cables and they look quite more flexible, this weekend I will try to swap the outer cables for the more flexibles and see how they work.
I attached some pictures as how the cables were routed after the first time I trimmed the steerer spacer and some pictures of how it is now after I removed more material.

Hello,

I recently bought the same frame but made by Lightcarbon, not sure what is the difference in between them, but mine looks very well done, the only difference is that lightcarbon sells the bike with or without the integrated handlebar and I bought without it but with a very nice stem and spacers that hide the cables.

Unfortunately I still can't finish to build because of I'm not having too much time after my son was born, but I have to let yoy know that I'm struggling a lot with the routing of the outer cables in the area of the headset because of the small gap availale in between my stem and the spacers.

I guess the bike is designed to work with hydraulic brakes and Di2 or AXS groupsets and once I already routed all the outer cables the cables doesn't move completely free.

At the moment I removed some material of the spacers and I will give it a go as soon as I can.

If you want me to show some pictures showing wat I had to do I could attach them here but first I wanted to make sure that the mod works, otherwise I think I will have to change to a standard stem and handlebar.

Hello Xcbarny,

I recently bought a Lightcarbon  LCG071S-D what I think it is the same as the GR-044 but I bought it from lightcarbon because you could choose in between Integrated cockpit or stem and handlebar separately.

https://www.lightcarbon.com/new-carbon-gravel-frameset-with-integrated-stem-system_p171.html

The quality of the frame, fork and stem  look very very good, but this is the first Chinese frame that I buy.
I bought previously one fork, two handlebar and seatpost from Miracle bikes, that it is very well appreciated in this forum and the lightcarbon looks even better quality.
In the other hand the miracle bikes components have served me well for 3 years and the lightcarbon frame is still not build.
I believe that miracle bikes just released the same frame too, just in case you want to have a look.
